I've practiced under Crystal's tutelage 4 nearly a year now @ 3 times per week. I find her 2b exceptionally concientious about her students' needs & abilities. I know I have improved immensely in my strenghth & stamina. I also understand better how Iyengar Yoga is benefitting me 4 the long haul-flexibility, balance & coordination, posture- I'll soon b 58, but I know I get around faster than the 20-50 year olds I work with-(no, I'm not getting paid 4 this testimonial, but I am passionate about the effects I 've gotten from working w/ Crystal Gray- Kate
Tonya is a gentle, encouraging and skilled yoga teacher. She truly makes everyone, no matter what shape you are in, feel as though you CAN do yoga. Tonya is great at teaching you to adapt poses to work with whatever issues you are having.
I had the privilege of taking Reginas yoga classes. I loved it. Her teaching transformed my yoga practice from just trying to mimic what the teacher was doing to understanding the right way of doing it. By doing it the right way I can now do the poses that I thought I could never do it. By doing it the right way injuries can be prevented. She always corrected each individuals poses to make sure that everyone was doing it right. She used many different props, which helps to bring the floor to you if you cannot reach it and get the full benefit of the poses. I thought that was brilliant. Reginas yoga classes were fun and full of positive energy. I strongly recommend everyone, no matter what level you are at, to take Reginas yoga classes.
I love going to my acupuncture sessions with Anisha! Within only a few short weeks - and as many sessions - Anisha's accupuncture, energy work and homework she gave me were able to bring me/my body back to some feel-good balance. Not only is her approach gentle, throrough and holistic, but I always leave there feeling rested and refreshed - as though I have just had a massage!
Really great at helping my son through the change in voice during middle school and he made Honors Choir!
Fantastic! She knows her stuff and is very conscious of the atmosphere and the practice level of students. Her sequences are amazing, you can tell the diversity in her expertise and background. Great for athletes/active sports/training ppl too. Her music is fun and helps the meditative part of yoga. Ask her for guided meditation savasana, you'll love it.
She is so full of passion it is so motivating! Her vast knowledge for effective, long-lasting fitness is a priceless resource. There is laughing and inspiration to dig deep to a place I would never find on my own.
I had the pleasure of working with Belle Aakhus recently when we hired her as a yoga instructor for our Self-Care Retreat. Our participants raved over Belle’s manner & style of teaching. She provided balanced instruction, accommodating the mixed abilities, personalities and professional levels. Belle was professional, arriving early and prepared with materials. Added bonus, she’s a masseuse! She provided massages in addition to the yoga instruction and our attendees loved it! Overall, Belle did a great job and we would use her again. - Marcelletta Miles, Celletta Coaching LLC
In my 10+ years of doing yoga, Lillian is truly one of the best instructors I have ever had. She is extremely creative and is always looking for new poses to introduce to her students that can help improve their practice. She has an impressive knowledge of the body and is always ready to answer tough questions about the benefits of different poses. Lillian is full of positive energy and seems to intuitively understand what her students need - she has kicked my butt when I needed it but also provides a sense of calm and tranquility that I find to be crucial in a good yoga instructor. She is inspiring, bright, vibrant and really lives and breathes what she does every day. I would recommend Lillian to anyone looking for an amazing yoga teacher!
I have personal, one-on-one or group yoga instruction available. All levels are welcome, from Ashtanga mix and Vinyasa flow to restorative and chair yoga. All ages, all bodies, yoga for all!

Bring Your Life Into Balance Breath of Life Healing Arts offers the holistic modalities of bodywork, acutonics sound healing, energy work, and yoga to help you restore harmony to your body, mind and spirit. We have two offices located in Black Mountain and Asheville, NC. Integrated Bodywork Sessions: Our integrated bodywork sessions include a variety of techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, shiatsu, sports, acupressure, trigger point and myofascial release. Acutonics and energy work may also be incorporated into your session for no additional charge. Acutonics Sound Healing: Acutonics is a non-invasive and energy-based method of sound healing that is used during sessions to bring your whole being into balance. "Acu" refers to acupuncture and "tonic" to tone. This system combines the wisdom of Chinese medicine with the principles of sound healing. In other words, Acutonics is like acupuncture but uses sound instead of needles. In a session, precision-calibrated tuning forks, Tibetan bowls, and Tibetan bells are used both on and off the body to access the body's energy systems including the acupuncture meridians and chakras. Both the sound of the tuning forks and their application can facilitate dynamic and profound shifts on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. Yoga: Many people know of yoga through the practice of asana (yoga poses) alone. However, yoga extends far beyond the practice of asana to include such practices as dhyana (meditation), pranayama (breathing practices) and samadhi (a state of oneness or union with God or the divine). Breath of Life's approach to yoga is freedom through strength. By practicing yoga, one can gain freedom by developing a strong yet pliable body, focused mind, and a strong yet open and accepting heart.

I have extensively studied and have had hands-on training not only with yoga but with several other modalities that fully encompass the whole practice of yoga rather then just focusing on the physical aspect. I am passionate about teaching yoga as a whole as well as different techniques to help my students transform into the best versions of themselves, heal and evolve.

Because I love teaching yoga (over seven years) and helping people feel better in their bodies, I have recently completed my RYT500-hour Yoga as Therapy certification. I teach slow flow, restorative and therapeutic yoga to groups as a class or privately. if you would like an asana practice tailored to address a particular issue, I'd really enjoy working with you.
