Our daughter has been taking guitar lessons with Gene Hilbert for about a year now. She is not only playing the guitar, she is playing complicated melodies! She has learned and continues to learn classics, rock n' roll, country, rhythm & blues. He gives her the kind of music training that keeps her wanting to learn more and enjoys practicing. He is brilliant in our opinion and works great with kids. We also know several children whom are being taught by Gene and they love their guitar lessons and music training too!!

I took my first guitar lessons from Robert. He is an excellent instructor. As your skills quickly grow, he is adept at writing out chords for practically any tune you bring in so you will be playing your favorite songs in no time!

As an adult, learning an instrument can seem overwhelming. But at Knoxville Academy of Music it isn’t. I found the instructors personable, caring, and positive. They don’t just want you to learn at KAM, they want you to love learning, and they truly provide the environment that makes that happen. Lessons are private and affordable and competitive. Best of all, though, Knoxville Academy of Music treats you like a family friend, rather than an appointment in their book.

Michael's guitar lessons were outstanding for my 12 year old daughter. He is very professional, friendly, a good role model, and he really knows how to pull out the best in people. 2 years worth of lessons and my girl is now able to strum along with some of her favorite tunes and is really enjoying it. He stresses hard work, dedication, and building good practice habits. Would highly recommend to anyone. He might just be the best guitar player around too, I've seen him play.

Scott is very knowledgeable of Guitar and bass. He been teaching me for a few months now and I'm already learning my way around the guitar. Scott is very professional and patient and his prices are reasonable. I look forward to working with Scott in the future and to continuing my progress on my guitar.

About

I don't just teach how to play the violin. I share my love for all music and try to draw out the passion for music in others. Everyone learns differently. Everyone understands and learns different parts of music differently than others. I have found that I am very good at customizing my teaching methods to each individual. I am very patient, I love getting to know each student. I have learned that any person of any age can learn violin if he/she is determined to. I have not taught long, but I have done it long enough to know I am good at it. I love it, and I want to continue doing it for the rest of my life. I am working on my teaching method that includes some piano, ear training, and music theory because there is more to music than just one instrument and a few notes. Music is everything.

About

I teach guitar. I have been playing since I was 7 years old. I teach styles like metal, rock, folk, etc. I'm self-taught, and I believe that if you want to play, you need to be willing to put your blood, sweat and tears in your music.

About

The both of us have been doing music together since we were little and still continue to write and play to this day. Justin has been playing guitar for 18 years. He took lessons starting when he was 10 and has practiced and performed nearly every style of playing around. He can teach you everything from music theory to how to shred solos in sold out coliseums. Josh has been singing for about 20 years and has also sung everything from accapella chorus to being the frontman in a heavy metal band. To this day music is still an everyday aspect of life and would love to help you enjoy it as much as we do.

About

Hello, my name is Austin Altena, and I have over ten years of experience playing guitar. In addition, I can also play/teach the harmonica, banjo, bass, mandolin, and acoustic or electric guitar. It's only recently that I have decided to start giving "formal" lessons, but I have been helping people learn or improve their guitar skills for 4 years. I can read and teach sheet music if it is so desired, however, it is not necessary for guitar playing. I have completed several college level music theory courses. I have a versatile playing style and could teach your prospective student anything they would like to know. As of now, I do weekly lessons for 30 minutes to an hour, depending on whats being covered in the lesson. I charge thirty dollars a lesson. If you or someone in your life has the desire to learn or just improve their guitar skills, I am confident that I can give you an enjoyable and informative lesson experience. I give the lessons out of my home, and I have a studio room with everything we would need, but I am willing to travel to you if necessary.
