Brandon is AWESOME! He and his worker installed a custom door at the top of my stairs for my home-daycare. It couldn't have turned out better. He made sure it is safe for the little ones while still making it beautiful. He was professional, patient, and friendly. My husband can be tough to please and has a unique sense of humor. He was able to laugh with my husband and make him happy as well. I couldn't be happier. The project wasn't an easy one. They had to figure out how to frame the door without tearing down my railing. The end result is very creative and one of a kind! The door is everything! Thanks guys. My pleasure.

Andrew did a great job installing our herringbone ceramic tile kitchen backsplash. He came over right away to give a quote for the job. He confirmed the day before that he'd be here on our agreed date and then he showed up on time both days of the project. He gave me just enough opinion when I needed one but was sure to let me know that whatever we chose, he would make it work. His pricing to do the job was right on target. Unlike the other installers who quoted the job he wanted to come measure and see our kitchen first. I wasn't sure how I felt about this, it was interesting bc the other installers gave me a quote just from the info I provided online. Because he came over the very same day to look and give his quote it actually worked out for the best. This way I met him and felt confident hiring him. We had struggled w this project for over 2 years. Thanks to Thumbtack and Andrew Eastin it went from quote to completion in 1 week! I will consider Andrew for future jobs without hesitation.

Jeff installed tile floors in two bathrooms for us and did a beautiful job. He also replaced some wood around our front door, helped us remove an old counter top and reconnected our kitchen plumbing after the new counter top was installed. He also installed ceiling fans and several light fixtures. He truly is a jack of all trades. He went above and beyond to help us renovate an old home that, thanks to him, is new again. His work was flawless and the price could not be beaten. He's completely a class act!

Steve recently installed window awnings on our home. He was extremely professional, precise, equipped with all tools needed, and very efficient. Not only did he schedule service within two days, he came on a Saturday morning and arrived 15 minutes early! He also made recommendation in the process that really enhanced our home's exterior decor. I am so grateful to have made the connection and have already planned to call him again for another project. I totally recommend him for home repairs!

Well enough was enough with our 28 year old extremely heavy, drafty, fogged up, inoperable wooden windows. We decided it was time to finally update with some energy efficient replacement windows but where do you start having never faced this seemingly daunting task before. I like probably most everyone else knew of Pella and Anderson windows and continuously hear radio advertising of a local Home Design Showcase in Goodlettsville so I called all of these local distributors and began the process of setting up meetings to gather quotes. Two of the 3 required both my wife and myself be present before they would even set up a meeting time which I thought was odd to say the least but once I went through the process I knew why and it was all about sales PRESSURE. After receiving a couple quotes for what looked like a very similar product but with very different prices I decided to approach this like any other project I tackle and I went to Google to begin educating myself on Vinyl Replacement windows. WOW I never thought there would be so many different window manufacturers out there. Literally what seemed like 100s just made my decision making exponentially more difficult. I thought. I started reading reviews on windows and manufacturers from as many sources as I could like Consumer Reports, Consumer Resources, Angie’s List, Home Advisor, Consumer Affairs, Replacement Windows Reviews, and Home Owner Blogs etc… etc… There was a reoccurring theme the more I read and that was there were about 3 manufacturers that almost everyone agreed on in Quality and Price so I focused on those 3. I ran across another invaluable source and that was https://thewindowdog.com. Since Soft Lite was one of the 3 manufacturers that continued to come up I sought out a local distributor and right on the Window Dog web page they recommended a local company called Zen Windows. Since Zen was one of only two Local Dealers on the Soft Lite web page I gave them a call. BEST DECISION I MADE DURING THIS ENTIRE PROCESS!! Brad answered my call and told me all he needed was the measurements of the windows needing replaced and a total number of windows which was 17. We also had the 6’ Back French Door quoted for replacement with a sliding back door with screen. He had a quote emailed to me in about 30 minutes with Product Brochures, Web Links to Soft Lite Window Virtual Demonstrations, Plant Tours and a map of local customers. Guess what I didn’t even have to have my wife present. Brad also encouraged me to get several other quotes before he hung up on the initial call. None of the other companies did that in fact one company told me my price was only good until they left my house and it would go up after that day. When I saw the quote I was BLOWN AWAY half the price of two other quotes and 2/3 Less than the other. After reading ALL THE OUTSTANDING Reviews about Zen and never touching a window or door (Even though I did drive by one local house a couple miles from me I found on the Map he sent in the initial Email and the exterior work looked very professional) we made the leap of faith and went with Zen. Brad came out to take measurements on each window and the back door. He answered all my questions and seemed extremely knowledgeable about the products he was using which made me feel much more comfortable. Once he had the measurements the order was placed and when he got confirmation on shipment he called and we set up an installation date. He also informed me on the front end 1 window did not ship as it was damaged in processing but that did not hold them up. The installer showed up on time and I could not believe how quickly they had the old windows out and the 16 new windows in, one day. The one damaged in shipment was the 24” Octagon nonoperational window so that was not a big deal. Day two they installed the new 6’ Back Sliding Glass Door and I could not believe the quality of this door. It made my old wood French door seem like it was paper thin. This new door feels so much more substantial and slides effortlessly. THIS IS NOT YOUR MOMS OLD SLIDING DOOR. They completed trimming out all the windows and doors, caulked everything completing in 2 days and left no trace that they were there other than a brand new look to my house and windows that were now operational and let in an abundance of light. Once I saw and felt theses new windows and back door I was 100% convinced I made the right choice going with Soft Lite products because these new windows and door are 100% Complete Quality and I couldn’t be happier. Once I went through this entire process I am again 100% convinced that we made the right choice in going with Zen Windows. I only wish I had found them first and eliminated 3 useless meetings that mostly just wasted my time. We live a couple hundred yards away from the Smyrna airport and I can honestly say the airport noise has all but vanished and I can’t wait to see the savings on my next electric bill. If you are reading this than I highly recommend just give Brad a call and don’t waste your time like I did unless you just like the high pressure sales pitch. Also if you’re in the Smyrna area and want to see the quality of work Brad can call me anytime and I’ll arrange for you to see their work and product. Great Job Brad, Scott Stoltz

Phil always does an outstanding job. That is why I keep calling on him when I need something done. I trust his work 100%. We had him to take out our tub and build a shower all from scratch. He made a stool to sit on and installed sliding doors. The bathroom is now beautiful and I am not ashamed of it. He is a trusted man and can be left alone in your house.

My husband and I were thrilled with their work!! They got the job done efficiently, were fair on cost, kept an impressively tidy work space, were readily available to be reached by phone out message, and went out of their way to help us find solutions for our space. They put down flooring, framed and installed a French door. And we even hired them for some addition work before they left! Very happy with our experience we will definitely use them again and refer to others.

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION for: Tim Wolf of Wolf Home Improvements by: John. Carlisle (homeowner) Mount Juliet, TN Tel.: 615-717-5371 Date of remodel: October 25, 2016 To whom it may concern: It is my pleasure to write this unsolicited letter of recommendation on behalf of Tim Wolf. Tim was the general contractor for a remodeling project on the exterior of my house in the fall of 2016. I had no prior relationship with Tim, who was recommended by an architect friend of mine. The scope of the remodeling involved window replacement (22 windows and 3 patio doors), siding replacement (approximately 4000 sq. ft.), replacement of 2 decks along with installation of stainless steel cable railing, and roof replacement (approximately 2400 sq. ft.) for a three level house built in 1978. The project took 8 weeks and involved 4 work crews (carpenters, siding, painters, roofing) plus electrician and structural engineer, at a budget of just over $100,000. While major remodeling is inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, Tim's services as a general contractor were invaluable, and I am extremely pleased with the final result. Specifically, I would give Tim top marks in the following areas: 1. Quality of work performed. The quality of work done was consistently top notch. Tim used subcontractors who were knowledgeable, skilled, and competent in their respective trades. They were conscientious about following project specifications, and their work product rarely needed improvement or revision. 2. Quality of work crews. Other than one relatively minor exception which Tim promptly addressed once I brought it to his attention, the workmen whom Tim utilized were professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful of the homeowner’s property and privacy. They had an old school work ethic (often 10-hour days, some Saturdays), good work habits, strong safety orientation, and emphasized getting the job done right rather than doing it fast. Their pride in their work was evident. They tidied up at the end of each workday. I also found them to be trustworthy, and my wife and I felt comfortable with allowing them access inside our home. 3. Project management and coordination. Tim's prior experience working in construction really paid off. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of our project, and was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities of different work crews effectively. He remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. His excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow-through are assets which enabled him to juggle the extensive details involved in our project without missing a beat. Tim's familiarity with building codes and dealing with city hall also facilitated a smooth and hassle-free process when it came to building permits and inspection. 4. Integrity and professionalism. Throughout the project, I was impressed with Tim's commitment to generating a top quality product, rather than maximizing his profit margin. When situations arose where extra work needed to be done (because of hidden problems that were not apparent until work on the house had commenced), Tim either (if it was relatively minor) took care of it without charging me extra, or (if it was more extensive) involved me in an informed decision making process that culminated in a change order which was fair. In another situation in which I was not satisfied with the aesthetics of nail holes on the siding battens even though the latter had been installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions, Tim agreed with me and arranged to have the nail holes filled and battens painted - a job which involved many additional hours - without passing the expense on to me. 5. Effective communication. Tim kept me closely informed of work crew schedules, delivery dates, and projected completion dates of different phases of our project. His communication (whether by cell phone or email) was always clear, informative, and helpful. He was either available on his cell phone, or returned my phone call within 2-3 hours. We never had a single miscommunication throughout the 2-month project. His communication with the work crews was just as effective. 6. Flexibility and effectiveness in dealing with unexpected developments. When unforeseen problems surfaced (e.g., water damage behind a wall, structural problems with the existing cantilevered joists for an upper deck), Tim worked diligently with me to identify a solution that was acceptable to me. He utilized resources effectively (e.g., enlisting the services of a structural engineer in a limited fashion) and creatively (e.g., identifying a special type of edge vent for my roof that had minimal overhang), and directed the work crew to make changes necessary for implementing the solution. 7. Responsiveness to homeowner’s needs and concerns. Tim's commitment to homeowner satisfaction was evident in his actions. On the few occasions when I brought a request or concern to his attention (e.g., when I wanted the roofing done before all of the exterior painting was completed), he listened attentively, and always took appropriate action that demonstrated responsiveness to my needs or concerns. When the painting crew fell behind of schedule, Tim showed up on a Saturday and helped with the exterior painting. His service orientation is truly described by the motto: “The homeowner’s needs come first.” 8. Truth in advertising. In his proposal, Tim gave a clear breakdown of costs for each facet of the project. His contract was just as detailed in describing the work to be done and the itemized costs. Same with the change orders. When the project was completed, all the work was done as described and agreed upon, and there were no hidden costs, extra expenses or unpleasant surprises. As a homeowner and customer, I felt Tim delivered exactly what he had promised, at the agreed upon price. 9. Value. I had solicited three bids for my remodeling project. Although Tim's bid was not the lowest, I am absolutely convinced that he delivered the best value (in terms of the work done) for the price. 10. Sensitivity to work site appearance and neighbor relations. Our project required a huge dumpster and a portable toilet (for the work crew), and there was very limited parking. Tim's placement of the dumpster, portable toilet, and construction materials was based not solely on function and convenience, but showed a consideration for the aesthetics of the work site. The work crew parked their vehicles in ways that were minimally disruptive to the neighborhood traffic, and their conduct never caused any discomfort to our neighbors. In the two months during this project, there was not one single neighbor complaint! Instead, three different neighbors passed on compliments about the work crews (e.g., “those guys really work hard”). In closing, I am very pleased with the final product which Tim was instrumental in delivering, and I am extremely impressed with his work as a general contractor. In a world where shoddy workmanship and poor service are unfortunately all too common, Tim is indeed a rare find. I have been a homeowner for over 30 years, and I took this unprecedented step of writing an unsolicited letter of recommendation for Tim because I believe that exceptional work should be recognized. I would not hesitate to hire Tim again, or to recommend him to my friends and neighbors. I recommend Tim Wolf to you most enthusiastically, and without any reservations. If you have any questions about my experience with Tim, please feel free to call me at 615-717-5371 John Carlisle A very satisfied homeowner
