Introduction: My work stands out because I make everything from scratch! Cakes, Icings, and fondants. I give 100% towards my cakes which are never frozen. I use the best eggs, butter and extracts! My icings are NEVER too sweet!, but just right. What I like most about my job, is the look on my prospective clients faces when they taste my cakes and see the creativity of my designs.

About 3 years ago, my sister and I hired Mrs. Jackson to make some decorations and a cake for my sister's wedding. We were very impressed with Mrs. Jackson professionalism, creativity, and her determination to deliver exactly what asked of her. She created the most beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres for my sister's wedding, and the bridal shower cake was delicious. The wedding was out of town, so Mrs. Jackson packaged everything so that it would make it safely to our destination. Everything was ready on time. Most recently, she made a caramel cake for our mom's 60th birthday party last week. To say this cake was a big hit would be an understatement. There wasn't a crumb left and everyone is still raving at how scrumptious it was! I would recommend Mrs. Jackson to anyone! Believe me, she will make your special occasion one to remember. P.S. Mrs. Jackson is AWESOME and truly a one stop shop with affordable prices.. I was a young bride who was lost and didn't know what I needed but with the help of Mrs. Jackson I got everything I needed plus more. Mrs. Jackson handmade all my bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages they all had a unique look that can not be duplicated and are still talked about to this day. She also made a delicious cake for bachelorette party. Last but not least Mrs. Jackson handmade me a stunning veil that just pulled my whole look together I was undecided on wearing a veil but she gave great advice and helped me make the decisions and I'm so glad I listened..SO lets just say without Mrs. Jackson my wedding day wouldn't have happened so I'm beyond thankful for her...whatever your needs are contact Mrs. Jackson and I promise you will be satisfied and still have a little change left in your bank account.

Ms Mae has made several cakes for me. HOMEMADE. She takes special care in each of her cakes and you can certainly taste the love and the freshness of each cake. I have had her homemade pound cake, red velvet cake, white chocolate cake and her German chocolate cake. each one has exceeded my expectations. I asked Ms Mae how she gets her cakes so moist, she told me she uses the freshest ingredients and always makes sure she has higher quality ingredients. Let me just say her cakes are the best I've ever eaten melt in your mouth delicious and once you try just one of her cakes you'll be hooked too. Her cakes have always been a hit at family dinners and during the holidays. No matter how many cakes she has to make, she makes you feel like yours is the only one she has to make. Not to mention that she is a joy to know and so precious to each one of her customers. I can't say enough about the wonderful cakes Ms Mae creates. I love them and I love her too!!!

Words can not begin to describe the AMAZING service that I have had with Mrs. Mae's Designer Cakes. I have order several cakes from her, from small intimate baby showers to my own wedding cake for over 300 guest, and they have all turned out to be fantastic!! Mrs. Mae made the search for the perfect wedding cake a smooth and stress free process. She took my ideas and went above and beyond what I could have ever imagined. She was always on time and available when I needed to make last minute changes. The cake Mrs. Mae prepared our wedding was perfect. It was so beautiful and absolutely delicious. All of our guests commented about the delicious flavor and moistness of the cake and many went back for seconds. My husband and I look forward to enjoying our anniversary cake in just few months! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No, there's no complicated pricing system. I evaluate what the custimers wants, what's involved, the amount of time it going to take and the per slice charge. At this point, my prices are still $3.50 per slice. However, the cost of ingredients has sharply increased.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I'm taking three online class at this time.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to make cakes after I started catering and coordinating weddings over 24 years ago.
