Nicholas Leh Baker Violin & Viola Studio

Introduction: I currently have a few openings in my violin teaching studio and am accepting new students of all ages and all levels (beginner to advanced). I have a Master’s degree in Violin Performance, and orchestral conducting. I specialize in chamber music, and contemporary music. I have over 17 years of teaching experience. I have a true passion for teaching and try to make the learning process as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. All of my younger students have shown excellent progress, allowing them to advance to higher seating positions in their school orchestras and youth orchestras. Some have also gone on to win state-wide competitions and some have won major scholarships at large music universities and conservatories. My studio also includes two studio recitals, masterclasses with local professional teachers and performers, as well as studio group classes focusing on scales, etudes, and auditions. In addition to teaching my younger students, I especially enjoy teaching older adult students who wish to fulfill their desire to learn to play a musical instrument. With my adult students, I help and encourage them to set their own goals while focusing on making the learning experience fun and stimulating. I have very affordable rates!!
