Determine your business support needs prior to making contact. It's ok if you aren't quite sure as long as you have a general idea or starting point. It helps me to determine how I can help by learning about your business. Be prepared to discuss how your company is set up and the services you provide. VA's have a wide range of knowledge and expertise. Do you need someone with experience in Marketing, Accounting, Sales, etc.? Verify availability, notice needed, turnaround times, office equipment and software used and level of proficiency in each. The most important thing to remember is that the Virtual Assistant is there to help you. Arrangement a phone interview before work exchanges hands. There needs to be a certain level of cohesiveness if a business arrangement of this type is going to be successful.
