Introduction: I am a violin/fiddle player of 20 years, with over 5 years of teaching experience. I have studied the Suzuki Violin Method and the O'Connor fiddle method and have been registered as a Suzuki Violin Teacher. I have graduated from Texas State University in International Relations and Music, where I taught violin in the String Project program for 2 years. I teach students of all ages and currently have a growing studio in South Austin. What I enjoy most about teaching music is watching my students grow in not only their ability, but in their enjoyment of their instrument. Something truly magical happens when a student develops confidence in their playing and to be a part of that creation brings me so much joy.

My lessons with Robyn have been extremely helpful! Her style of teaching is very structured, so there's never a minute wasted. She teaches at a pace that's easy to follow and always makes it fun. At the conclusion of each lesson, Robyn assigns "homework" consisting of techniques and skills that should be worked on before the next lesson. I highly recommend Robyn for both child and adult learners. -Adam V.

Robyn has been an excellent violin teacher for 2 of my kids, and she is part of the reason we consider remaining in Austin. Her positive and patient manner of approaching even the wiggliest, goofiest child shows how gifted she is in working with children. She holds a relaxed learning space, gentle yet serious, with clear boundaries to respect lesson time, and is attentive to the finest details to ensure excellent violin technique, while encouraging improvement in every lesson. We are very happy with the progress our children have made under her direction!
