I originally reached out to Skylar needing guidance nutritionally. I've always been the gym rat type but eating the same Chicken, Asparagus and rice was getting old, fast. I needed variety!! Thankfully I did reach out as it lead to spending nearly 45 min on the phone with her talking about my physical job and managing this with workouts, recovery, food alternatives (in a pinch too). Since working with Skylar my energy levels during the day have stayed up as my body weight has gone down.

What also made it manageable for me was that she recommended foods that are available to me locally and still have the same nutritional value as some foods that I was unable to obtain in my town. She was quite detailed and after she gathered all of the information she required to move forward, she put together an easy to follow and succinct diet plan for me.   • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    I offer weekly meal plans for $60 that cover all meals and snacks of each day of the week. Our phone consultation is free. I use this time to learn everything I need to know before writing your plan, and to get to know you before we start working together.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I started with my own personal journey. At 20 years old I was experiencing hormonal imbalances and I was 50 pounds overweight. Exercise alone was not allowing me to lose weight like I had expected it to. I began reading books and studying nutrition at home, and at the same time I started cooking for myself at home. I learned the importance of the hormones in the body, and their correlation with body fat. I became extremely passionate about food, and I decided to get a Sports Nutritionist Certificate with the ISSA. Since then, I have not gone a day without reading or watching seminars about health and nutrition because I truly love to learn about it, and teaching nutrition has also become my passion. I've begun writing personal health and development books because I want to share the knowledge with others. I believe that too many people need these answers, and just don't seem to know where to start. My goal is educate you beyond working with me, so that nutrition comes easily and naturally.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    I have been lucky to work with a wide variety of clients so far, of all different ages and genders. Some diet restrictions I have worked with include: Diabetes and Prediabetes; Celiac's and gluten sensitive; IBS; dairy free; low carb; low fat; high cholesterol; vegan and vegetarian.
