Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My philosophy is learning by doing. That means learning the fundamentals through learning real music. As a pianist, I accompany all my students in and out of lessons. As soon as you learn five notes, we're playing a blues together. The moment when a student plays a new piece of music and laughs at the unexpected joy of sounding good. Case in point: I recently gave a jazz ballad to a teenage clarinet student who's uninterested in most classical repertoire. I accompanied her on piano and she played with more expressiveness than I'd heard in a long time. She couldn't stop giggling when she finished. It doesn't get much better than that.

He is a knowledgeable individual whose lessons were simple and easy to understand. Upon spending an hour with him I had already gained quite a bit of knowledge to help further my musical goals.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I always suggest that students shop around for the right teacher. If it's not working out and you feel like you're not learning, then try someone new. Don't give up on music or blame yourself just because it's not working out with that particular teacher.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Learning a new instrument is never as difficult or as tedious as many people think. Many of us have this mental picture of a crusty old piano teacher whacking our fingers for every mistake. Without a doubt, learning to play music on any instrument takes time and dedication. But that time doesn't have to be frustrating. With the right curriculum, it can quite enjoyable.
