I would highly recommend Greg Powell. He did a great job and more than I expected. He edged all the sides and even cut the long grass along the fence and around the house, which past lawn mowing services have not done. He was very professional and arrived on time and very friendly. I will definitely be using his services again.

My service tech was Jareth "Ray" G. He took his time to explain everything, which I appreciate. He even took care of a wasp for me that snuck its way between the window and window screen. And so far so good, no ants. Thanks!

I needed removal of something - turned out to be a possum(s). They came the very next day, exactly when they said they would. They were professional, knowledgeable, and they had that critter out of there in short order. I’m so impressed with them and their eco friendly methods that I’m making them my pest control company effective immediately. I highly recommend Damian and Aaron.

For a month, I have heard creatures on the roof or in the attic. I was not sure which and contacted Tikal. Tikal came out to give an estimate on pest removal in my attic. The employee spent 45 minutes going all over the roof, all around the exterior property and all through the attic. He did not find evidence of pests in the attic but did on the roof. He did not charge me. Because my insulation was very thin, the employee believe that is why I could hear the creatures on the roof.

I hired Jonathan to clean up all the leaves in my yard left over from the Fall. His bid was reasonably priced, he was prompt, courteous and efficient. I was grateful for his hard work. Since then, I have hired Jonathan on three separate occasions to do some lawn maintenance and even some bulk trash removal for me. I am very pleased with the outcome every time so, he has now become my go to yard guy. I love how convenient it is to schedule work with him. I text him and he comes out either that same day or the next. He allows me to pay him through Pay Pal, so, I can be at work while he is at my house getting my yard looking great. My neighbor complimented how good my yard looked and now even uses Jonathan's services. I recommend Jonathan's company, he's a respectful Veteran and I appreciate using local companies over the big impersonal over priced guys.

I do land clearing, tree and stump removal as well as shredding of any-size property. No job is too big or too small. The shredder is as heavy duty as money can buy, so it will take down anything. I also do road service, from smoothing out and filling roads to completely constructing roads, rights of way and lease roads, building pads, welding projects (if you have an idea, I can design it -- from BBQ pits to custom entryway signs, heavy-duty truck bumpers like those from the company "Ranch Hand", etc. No job is to small or too large), junk haul-offs and agricultural services of all types. I also do groundwork with new horses to be ready for under-saddle training or groundwork with older broke horses that need a refresher course in manners or need to be taught to load in a trailer. I have gone through the horse training program at Tarleton State University.

About

In the begining I worked for one of the larger well known "production" tree services in the Austin area. Quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, under promising /over delivering, and building professional relationships with customers are my #1 priority. I eventually realized these simple principles in which I conduct business were hard to maintain working for a "production" tree service. Many tree services are what I call "production" tree trimming companies who's focus is on completing one job and moving to the next. Don't let the big trucks and matching uniforms fool you.Quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, underpromising /overdelivering,and building professional relationships with customers should be a major factor when choosing a tree service. We are a small company with over 20 years combined experience.Give us a call! 51`2-743-6577

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What do pest control companies do?

Pest control companies handle all aspects of bug, rodent and animal extermination or removal. Pest control professionals visit your home or office to identify the type of pest that is troubling you and offer various treatment plans — complete with clearly outlined costs. Once you and the pest control company have a signed agreement, the pro will begin treatment. Pest treatment can range from the use of spray pesticides and gel bait to live and/or kill traps. There are a wide range of types of pesticides, many of them nontoxic for humans and other small animals. This means you may be able to have your home treated for pests without harming nearby wildlife or your dog and cat. The pest control pro will carry out the treatment plan and, depending on the service agreement, provide follow-up such as emptying traps, inspecting access points, or reapplying pesticide spray if the pests return. Costs will vary based on the type of pest you are having removed and the extent of the infestation. The average national pest control price range is $80-$130. From a minor bedbug event to an entire home termite infestation, pest control companies have got you covered.

How much does it cost to remove a mouse?

If you have a mouse in your house you’re probably quickly researching pest control costs. Mice, although tiny, can transmit diseases and also get into your food and leave unsanitary droppings around your home. If you have seen one mouse in your house, it’s likely that more have taken up residence in your crawl space, attic or basement. The national average pest control cost is $150-$200. Costs can vary depending on whether you need to get rid of a population of living mice or just dispose of a dead mouse (or full traps), how extensive the mouse population is, and where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pest control cost for removing a mouse:

  • $150 for initial trap setup and inspection (and sealing of entry holes).
    • $50 for rodent removal service calls and emptying of traps. This visit can also include identifying and sealing entry points that were not sealed on the first visit.
  • Rodent extermination: $110-$350, depending on how heavy the rodent population is, whether the mouse infestation poses health risks, how many entrances exist and how many rodent bait stations are needed.

How much does it cost for a pest control service?

Whether you need to get rid of bugs or rodents, pest removal professionals can be lifesaving when you have an infestation. Pest control prices will vary based on what type of pest is being removed. The national pest control price range is $80-$130, although prices can be much higher for tasks like wildlife removal (raccoons, bobcats, etc.), which might start at $250 and exceed $500, depending on the animal and the trapping measures required.

The cost of eliminating a termite colony ranges on average from $240 to $400, but these costs can increase greatly if the whole house is infested. The average cost to kill cockroaches is between $80 and $130, while bedbug extermination ranges from $320 to $400 on average. The main factors that will affect your pest control price are the type of pest, the extent of the infestation, the accessibility of the infested areas, and the type of treatment required.

How much does it cost to get rid of cockroaches?

Cockroaches are not only ugly, they are difficult to get rid of. Quick and resilient, they can be hard to get rid of without professional help once they have inhabited a house. Nationally, the average range for cockroach pest control cost is $80-$130. Extermination professionals typically provide a free estimate to determine the extent of the infestation. They’ll check for the main sources of the bugs, identify bug access and entry points into your home, and determine the best method for elimination. There are a variety of cockroach extermination tools including gel baits and traps, pesticide foggers, desiccants (which dry out the cockroaches), neurotoxins, and other pesticides. Pest control costs can also cover preventive measures like regular spraying and trap maintenance. Some regions of the country are much more prone to cockroach problems than others, so pest control costs may need to be part of your quarterly budget. Cockroaches love dark, humid, and warm areas and water sources, so place traps near your washer and dryer and under your sinks.

How much does it cost to treat a house for termites?

Termites are not only creepy-crawly, they can literally eat your house out from underneath you. Termites feed on damp and dry wood and can chomp through your house at an alarming rate. The national average pest control cost for termite extermination is $240-$400. Treatment costs can be higher for an extensive infestation. Here are some examples of average pest control costs for termites:

  • Liquid treatment of subterranean termites: $3-$4 per linear foot.
    • For $75 per year, a company may offer a maintenance plan that provides inspection of the property and renewal of the warranty.
  • Liquid treatment of subterranean termites: approximately $400 for a 2,000-square-foot home at $3-$5 per linear foot.
    • The price is higher for additional work such as foaming and drilling inside of concrete slabs.
  • Fumigation treatment of drywood termites: $1,200-$1,500 for a 30,000- to 35,000-cubic-foot home
    • Fumigation is measured in cubic feet because it fills the airspace of the home and infiltrates the wood that the termites may be colonizing. The cost of fumigation is affected by the number of levels in the home as well as the square footage.
