Bonnie was a last minute find for us because we were told only 5 weeks before our wedding that our Catholic ceremony (which had been planned for a year) could not take place at the church because its renovation would not be complete on time. With the wedding date only 5 weeks away, all the other churches were booked, so we had to have our ceremony at the reception site. Since the reception site was an outdoor garden, this was not considered a sacred space so we could not have a Catholic ceremony there. I was frantically calling around town to find someone who could perform the ceremony for us, and Bonnie said that she could do it even though she had another wedding that day. She would be able to fit our wedding in before going to her other engagement. I was just happy to find someone that could marry us on such short notice, but it turned out that we hit the jackpot with her! We had already planned our wedding ceremony according to the Catholic guidelines, so we were able to do pretty much the exact thing with her. Plus, we could change some of the readings and prayers to ones that had more personal meaning, which we wouldnt have been able to do in a church ceremony. Bonnie was truly accommodating and helpful throughout the whole process. In the end, the wedding ceremony turned out much better with her than it ever would have in a Catholic church. Bonnie performed our ceremony in May 2012, and we can't speak highly enough of our experience working with her. We were planning a destination wedding and didn't know any officiants in the Austin area, but it was important to us that our ceremony feel very personal, even if we were working with an officiant with whom we didn't have a prior relationship. We met with Bonnie over coffee several times prior to the wedding (and had many emails and phone calls with her), and she was so warm and interested in getting to know us as a couple that we felt like we had developed a friendship with her by the time the wedding came. We also had very specific ideas of what we wanted as part of our ceremony, and Bonnie was very willing to work with us. She did a wonderful job with our ceremony -- it was exactly how we had envisioned and she was an indispensable part of making that happen.

She was warm, very friendly, professional, and relaxed. We needed a servant to marry us and we received a beautiful spirit with a perfectly delivered message for the beginning of our lives together. Bonnie was referred to me by friends at Cutters Edge Hair Salon. Another customer had used her and loved her. She officiated at my daughter's wedding at Mercury Hall in November 2012. She was great. Met with us before wedding to discuss ideas. Came to the rehearsal and everything went smoothly! Very professional with a sweet personality and made the vows just to my daughter's wishes. She was an asset to the wedding day!!!

What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of the comments I get from my brides and grooms is how much I made them feel at ease and comfortable. This is so flattering to me and I am so honored. I do customize the ceremony for each couple but more then that they comment on my joyfulness and personality.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I encourage you to meet with one of us to see if we are a good fit for you. Often the officiant gets overlooked with all of the excitement of planning a wedding - totally understandable! - however the ceremony is an important part and you want someone who is a good fit for you both!
