We had an excellent experience with Alter Construction! They built our bathroom from the ground up, and the results exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, their communication was clear, and we were kept in the loop every step of the way. Great experience with Alter Construction. After other contractors ignored our request, they promptly inspected a primary bathroom ceiling leak, applied a temporary patch before a storm, then fully repaired the roof and interior. They matched paint perfectly, respected our budget, explained each step, and honored their quote. Professional, punctual, and highly recommend their team.

My husband already left a review for our project, but I wanted to add some additional praise. Alter Construction did an absolutely wonderful job replacing our floors and I highly recommend them!
Communication: One of the first things you'll notice with Eli and his team is the tremendous amount of communication. He'll talk you through everything, provide recommendations as necessary, and answer any questions. On top of that, Eli sent us multiple updates every day that we were out of the house to keep us aware of what was happening. Pictures, video, text explanations, and he was always available for a call. It really put my mind at ease that the house was well taken care of in our absence. He ran the outside taps when it froze, kept the house at the temperature we requested, and cleaned up everything after. He also made us aware of little things like how the paint color we picked for baseboards didn't match the existing trim. With everything he did, made sure that we would be happy with the finished product.
Quality: The workmanship is outstanding. The tile is cut and laid beautifully, with no hollow sounds when walking. My father used to lay tile back in his day, so trust me when I say it was well inspected after! Our walls have rounded corners, so it was very nice of Alter Construction to cut and round the baseboards instead of leaving them sharp. It looks very clean now.
Attention to Detail: What really makes the work stand out is the team's attention to detail. They replaced a section of baseboards that wasn't in the work area to make them match because they were visible from the living room. They were kind enough to reinstall our baby gates at a higher position because the new baseboards were taller than the old ones. They even patched a hole in the carpet of one of our bedrooms with the scraps they pulled up from the living room. This wasn't something that we had asked them to do, they just took the initiative to really make everything nice for us when we came home.
Summary: If you're looking for someone to do work on your house, you can't go wrong with Alter Construction. They'll take care of you like family and I promise you won't be disappointed.

Done a handful of jobs on the house through different contractors and this company is easily the best one. He will help you every single step of the way. Starting from walking you through the house, selecting materials at the store, suggesting opinions/input, constant updates throughout the whole process, and even finishing touches that are outside of your project. He fixed a patch on a carpet that was outside of his work. He did baseboard work that was outside of his area that happened to connect to the living room. His ETA for the project was spot on too. It's insane how much detail and work ethic Eli and his company has. My wife and I love him so much that we are legit planning another project with him in the future. 100% recommend. I don't normally post reviews and I just had to for Eli.

A Stunning Solution with Heart
We reached out to Alter Construction with a unique challenge: we needed a safety barrier for the upstairs ledge in our home — a 20-foot drop that had become a real concern after rescuing our blind kitten, who lost both eyes during the devastating July 2025 floods.
Initially, we had something completely different in mind, but Eli from Alter suggested a glass partition. At first, we weren’t sure — but it turned out to be the absolute right choice.
The 3.5-foot tall glass barrier is not only secure and sturdy, but it also preserves the open, airy feel of the space. It’s sleek, modern, and blends in beautifully with our home’s design — a perfect balance of form and function.
