Introduction
I earned the title of THE CHRONIC PAIN TRAINER because I am known for creating effective workout programs for people who are in pain but still want to exercise and reach their goals. With the NASM model, I can take any client to any goal and I am superiorly qualified in working with beginners, chronic pain patients, seniors, and those in recovery from an injury. Growing up, I always desired to be outdoors and moving. I spent many years on the school teams for basketball, golf, long-distance track, and Texas A&M Powerlifting. I began personal training during college in 2009 when the head trainer of a gym approached me and said, “I think you would be really good at this, if you get certified then I will hire you.” I went to school for Biology, thinking I wanted to enter western medicine, but after I graduated, I continued in my career of personal training to work on the preventive & holistic side of medicine. In 2019, I underwent an invasive back surgery in NYC for a congenital tethered spinal cord and personally understand the journey of reconstruction. My ultimate mission has evolved into restoring the vitality of an aching population by reducing chronic pain & inflammation through corrective exercise. As a trainer I base my training style on functional core movements that enhance posture & alignment. I love to train outdoors because I believe it offers added health benefits and enhances exercise results. I enjoy teaching movements which often appear easy but are quite challenging ;) My specializations include: Pain-Free Movement, Corrective Exercise, Self-Myofascial Release & Triggerpoint Therapy, Neuromuscular Stretching, Flexibility & Mobility, Stability, Joint Mobilizations, Core Training, Balance Training, Posture & Biomechanics Correction, General Performance Enhancement, Multiplanar Training, Golf Performance Training, Functional Multimodality Training, Muscle Building, Strength Training, Powerlifting, Circuit Training, and Group Training. I can't figure out how this "star" rating scale works, is 5 stars the highest or is 1 star the highest? Anyway, all I have to say about Lina is that she is great! First and foremost she truly cares about the client and it wasn't just me, I witnessed this same commitment with others as well. Second, she is very knowledgeable and experienced and demonstrated the ability to adjust nicely to my individual needs and goals, giving special attention to post-surgical rehab of my left knee as well as the overall injury related conditions due to secondary loss of strength, mobility, flexibility, balance and functionality throughout. Probably the most important aspect of training with Lina was more than just acting as a constant source of external accountability, she was a real coach, recognizing the importance of SUPPORTING THE DESIRE TO REGAIN A SENSE OF MY OWN INNATE MOTIVATION AND SELF-DISCIPLINE. Despite multiple set-backs due to other intermittent physical issues, she never gave up on me and never let me give up on myself! Having lost over 14 total inches, I must also speak highly of her skills with meal prep. I couldn't have done it without her! Exercise alone is good, dieting alone is good. Combine the two with Lina's expertise, you can't go wrong! As a matter of fact, it's the only way to go! I suspect that Lina is a rare find among the zillions of trainers to chose from. I was very fortunate that someone else shared her contact information with me. If you have stumbled upon this review by accident, don't waste a minute nor a second, call her now! You may be fortunate to get on her schedule before someone else takes the empty spot I leave as I go off traveling in Europe. It would be nice to say "Honey, I shrunk the trainer...." and pack her along. LOL!!

Lina really knows her stuff. She is very knowledgeable and very capable of putting that knowledge to work for her clients. She helps a client set reasonable goals and helps the client reach those goals. She herself has body building and weight management goals, so she well understands the client's struggles and able to coach him through them. The only wrong decision about Lina is not to hire her as a first preference.

FANTASTIC! More than just a personal trainer... she is my physical therapist. Lina is a fantastic listener and goes out out of her way to check in and provide support between workouts. She has a very hands on approach which I like. She's got all the fun toys and gear that make working out fun and exciting. Don't get me wrong, she will make you sweat, but she's have a smile on her face as she tells you to do "one more" rep. Lina, is always learning new tips and tricks that she shares with me to make my workouts the best experience. I've seen a huge improvement in my posture (what I wanted to work on) and more strength in my hip (old sport industry) along with over all feeling and looking fit and balanced. Very please with the attention that Lina gives. She's even working with my fiance; helping him over come a very bad knee injury...and because of Lina, he is now able to touch his toes and squat with ZERO knee pain! I would totally recommend her to EVERYONE I know who it looking for an AMAZING trainer!
