Introduction: I am a dance instructor with more than 18 years of teaching experience providing excellent instruction to students from ages 3 to adult. I am experienced in the field of ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, drill team, aerobics, and more. I am available to teach privately. I started dancing at the age of nine on the Texas City Little League Dance Team and at age 11, I was one of the three leaders of the team. I continued on to the Levi Fry Jr. High drill team and the Texas City High School Stingarettes. The first dance instructor was Marion King in Texas City. Other Texas City instructors included Carl Siberon, Ruth Elgin from Ruth Elgin Studio, and Mary Niles Warren from Act I Conservatory of Dance. I attended workshops with Dance Olympus, Dance Educators of America, and Dance Masters of America and was a certified member of the Dance Educators of America. I began teaching and choreographing at Ruth Elgin Studio in 1980 until 1987, then opened my own studio, The Dance Place, until 1994. I also taught at Act I Conservatory of Dance in Texas City and Gallery I in Dickinson. I choreographed and taught aerobics at the Lowry Physical Fitness Center and was certified by NDEITA. More recently, I choreographed and taught dance for Dancemobile and is currently teaching private dance lessons. I teach and choreograph ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, drill team, country dance, and tumbling for ages 3 and up. I performed with Act I of Texas City, the Dance Place Dancers of Texas City and Phlash Dancers of Galveston and also performed at the University of Houston.
