I am a freelance paralegal and have been since 2002. I prepare legal divorce documents for people, to be able to file for a divorce on their own. I include 3 copies of the petition, 3 copies of the final decree, and any affidavits you may need. However, I am not an attorney and cannot and will not provide you with any legal advice and / or suggestions, and nothing I say and / or write is to be construed as such. My clients love the fact that I make payment extremely easy, as well; we either meet in person and exchange cash for the documents, cash can be deposited into a certain bank account, or I can even take a card, either in person or over the phone! There is a $5.00 convenience fee for using your debit / credit card. My clients also love that I only charge a $120.00 or $160.00 flat rate. I make things extremely simple for them! I only charge $20.00 for each modification, if any need to be made, vs. the entire fee to prepare the documents again. And I do require 50% of the money up-front, to get started, and the remaining 50% when the documents are ready. Plus, I have even gone to the court house to file with my clients, for a small additional fee ($45.00 for my gas, time, and parking fee).
