I've used two different trainers before for my dog and had little to no improvement. I decided to try Traveling Dog Trainer based on her reviews and her reply to my ad. Lauren did a great job on our first lesson. She showed me a few areas where I'm lacking and how to make my dog more confident in me as a leader. She didn't try to sell me on more lessons, which I liked that she wasn't pushy about it. She suggested that I keep practicing what we went over and of I feel the need for more training after, to give her a call. I highly recommend her.
I was in a long search for a dog trainer that had ample experience with German Shepherds, as everywhere I looked, it was more of a cookie cutter/group training class where I could not get the results or experience for training this breed that I was looking for. I finally came across Butch through a reference from the DFWGSR, and after having several phone conversations with him, I made a decision that I was going to take my 7 month old German Shepherd with him for a 2 week board and train. His knowledge on GSD's and other working breeds is impressive and the results are great. He does a great job in getting your dog to where you can take over and continue the work at home with much less effort. I can honestly say that this is the best dog trainer that I have come across. The results you get speak for his years of experience and love for dogs. I definitely recommend Butch and his team if you want impressive results, service and the type of experience you get after training dogs for all type of service work for over 30 years.
Maury did an excellent job with our dog. There are so many dog trainers out there we were not sure who to go with, but after only 1 week of training, we can see a huge difference. Maury loves the dogs he trains, and always wants a chance to see pictures of our dog. His 2 follow appointments are so helpful as well.
Finding a dog trainer is difficult. Finding Lynette who has actually trained CAIRN Terriers is a bonus! We start working together next week.
Debi is such a nice person let alone a great dog trainer! She is highly skilled and very knowledgeable! Thanks again!
Stephanie is a wonderful dog trainer! She helps me train my 4 month old puppy. She is very knowledgeable of dog behavior in general, and breed specific behavior, too. She teaches only positive reinforcement training techniques and is very sweet with my pup. Lola loves her, too!
Our dog training was very good and we learned a lot our self.
Over the last year, I have been fortunate to have Hilton Butler from K-9 Bootcamp train my puppy so he could become a therapy dog. From the first encounter with the Butler family I knew my dog would be in good hands. They understood the purpose of his training and knew what he would have to learn in order to become a therapy dog for kids with special needs. I was greatly relieved to know that my dog would be staying in their house with their children. This meant a lot to me since my dog spent 6 weeks being trained. To know that he would not be neglected in a kennel on a large property was a huge relief. Auggie was immediately welcomed by all family members and was treated like one of their own pets. He was in loving hands from the moment he walked in the door. I felt that Hilton was able to apply various protocols to meet my dogs needs due to his extensive background with K-9 training in the military, police, and service dog environments. Hilton demonstrates a firm hand while training, but uses positive reinforcement as well, which was needed for my dog. He ensures that you know the protocols to carry over in the home environment after training is complete. If there was any question regarding Auggies behaviors at home, Hilton was available by email, phone, and even conducted follow up sessions at my house. K-9 Boot Camp is a professional and loving dog training facility. They excel in providing individual treatment to meet your specific training goals. Customer service and compassion for their work shines through. Hilton, took time on a Sunday in November to drive all the way to Auggies therapy test for moral support. Auggie passed with flying colors and now comes to work everyday as a certified therapy dog. He is happy in his new role making sure all kids have a smile on their face while receiving therapy! We could not have done it with out Hilton.
Wanda was very helpful with explaining training to us with our dog. Great information.
I would recommend Zoom Room to anyone. Heather is a great trainer and is so encouraging, especially if you have a "hard to handle" dog. The training is a lot of fun and good exercise, as well. Lisa W.
After shopping around looking at different dog trainers, I'm SO happy I went with Pamela! Over the course of the few weeks, she taught me so much about how my body language and tone of voice communicate different things to my dog and how to use that to teach him obedience and manners. Not only did my dog master the commands, I learned how to be in control and take leadership of walks and day to day life. Pamela offered great advice and insight when I needed it and I would highly recommend her to anyone! Thank you!
Tena is very professional and knowledgeable about training dogs. She has a very pleasing personality and I really like her. I would recommend her to help you with your dog training needs.
Brian was very good with our dog. He's much better walking on a leash and listens to us better than when he left. The only downside to training our dog this way is that it's a remote location so we have far more distractions in our neighborhood than out on the ranch. But Brian did some socialization training and left us with good tips and instructions for continuing to help our dog learn that he needs to be calm when approaches other dogs. Our dog was sad to see Brian leave.
Beth has trained 2 dogs for me and both times I was completely satisfied with the results. After she trained my dogs she trained me and the rest is history. I would highly recommend Beth as a great dog trainer. Bobby Gerber
Mallory has taken care of my dog for over a year now whenever needed. She also spent some time training my dog. Mallory is very dependable and reliable, and great with my dog.
It’s been almost a month since I adopted Kip from a local rescue. I remember seeing Kip for the first time at the adoption event and I immediately knew he was my dog. Kip had been so neglected for a long time that he did not know how to interact with other dogs let alone know how to walk on a leash properly. He kept lunging towards every one and every dog on our walks. After a short while, he started to develop an aggression towards other dogs in the park. I didn’t know how to help him, so I reached out to the rescue and they recommended that I call Darlene at Artemis Dog Training. Kip was enrolled into the program the same day I called. While Kip was going through rehabilitation, I was learning and studying the videos Darlene sent me to watch, so I can be a better leader for him. We still train and practice commands every day. Darlene also takes the time to check-in on us to make sure we’re still doing well. I can’t imagine what Kip would have been like without Artemis Dog Training. Darlene helped transform Kip into a better dog and I can’t thank her enough. If you have a dog with behavioral issues, call Darlene at Artemis Dog Training. She will be the last trainer you’ll ever need.
They were great with our three dogs! Dogs were nervous with new people when they arrived, but they had new friends when they left! Great job on all dogs! Fantastic experience and they are our new groomers
We are blown away with the progress of our rescued Border Collie puppy. The trainers at TDS Canine Solutions took our fear agressive 6-month old to a well behaved puppy in just 5 weeks. We could not be more impressed with their style and results. Loving traing that not only taught our puppy how to behave, but professional expertise that taught us how to raise this sweet boy. We are forever grateful. By the way, we've had more than 10 dogs in the past, but simply couldn't figure out how to deal with with fear agression. This team knows their stuff!
Sarah Roberts, SATS certified in Perception Modification and Bridge and Target Training, with an MS in education and years of experience as a special ed teacher, is one of the most talented, effective teachers/trainers I know. She is also a pleasure to deal with. She is able to train demanding and difficult animals, for a wide range of applications, and she is an outstanding teacher of owners as well. I have mentored Sarah in her SATS certifications and I am proud to have her as a trainer.
We have two terriers, ages 4 and 5. We adopted both animals well into their adulthood, and neither had any training. We put up with the accidents in the house, the nipping, and the complete lack of obedience for far too long because we wanted our new additions to settle in before we started correcting their behavior. Well, that is where Damon came in. He assured us that our dogs could behave AND go to the bathroom outside. That they were not the worlds worst (although cutest) dogs, but actually good dogs! What? My dogs can be trained? I was a little skeptical. Initially, we signed up for a private session. We love our dogs, but surely he would change his mind when he met them. Our dogs interacted with Damon wonderfully. They are a little much at times, and he knew exactly how to handle them to get them to calm down or play. We worked on some potty training techniques and talked about the format of his training class. Sure enough, we enrolled our dogs into a six week beginner course and they really responded. They enjoyed going to the park once a week, interacting with other dogs and humans, and best of all, working for food! Never in a million years did I think my dog would "sit" on command. Now they sit, wait, lay down, touch, and leave it! AND THEY POTTY OUTSIDE. I know these things may seem extremely basic to some people, but I honestly didn't think my dogs could be trained - not even to sit. I know some of you out there have dogs like mine. I do want to say, Damon only provides the tools. If you do not reinforce the expected behavior at home then your dogs will not respond. Our dogs were ready to work every Saturday morning, but not so much when we got home. Once we started enforcing those expected behaviors we got much better results. Be prepared to put in just as much work as your pup. I highly recommend Damon! Can't wait to enroll our dogs in more advanced training!

Our philosophy is simple. 1. Most problem behaviors that owners report are actually normal canine behaviors that don't fit into a human household. So a lot of owners end up trying to fight against the dog's natural instincts. 2. Training methods that only correct or ignore these natural canine instincts are unfair to the dog, frustrating to the owner, and just don't give lasting results. 3. Teaching the owner and the dog new behaviors improves the relationship, manages aggression, assists with problem solving, and produces enduring & reliable results.
