- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is not complex. I teach half hour lessons one time weekly. For $100 dollars monthly you're either paying $20 or $25 dollars per lesson depending on how many days there are in the month. For one hour lessons, I charge $150 so students actually gain an hour per month of lesson time free....
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically with a new student I try to do an evaluation of what they're hoping to accomplish versus what I'm capable of teaching them. I've never found anyone that I couldn't teach something and occasionally I actually learn from the process of preparing for their lessons. Music is a constantly changing and growing art form. There's always something new to learn and create. I love being stretched out to my musical max! These days, that takes a little doing! :)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly being stretched by my students to dive deeper into musical knowledge. The fact that my average student lasts at least a year tells me that I'm holding their interest and they're seeing a value in what they're paying me to teach them. I am currently studying two different theory books and have an on line theory course that keeps me busy when I'm not reading. I learn something new every day....
