Terri and her business partner exceeded my expectations. She was very involved from the beginning asking us what the theme for the party was and did the presentation accordingly. All the guests were very happy with the presentation of the food. Everything was beautifully put together. Some of the side dishes were a bit spicy for some of the guests but we were happy overall. She went above and beyond to fit our theme of a fancy corporate event and I could not ask for a better setting. Thank you so much!

My husband and I got married in September 2014 and started planning our wedding in January. We knew we wanted to have the wedding at our home but we wanted it to have all of the regular things a wedding has: full dinner, dancing, full bar, dj, etc so I knew hiring a Wedding Planner would help things run a lot more smoothly. I am kind of a control freak and I really wanted to plan most everything myself, so I really just needed a day of coordinator. I found Sharon Peoples off of Thumbtack after searching through countless other coordinators websites and even a couple over-the-phone and in person interviews. Sharon blew us away the day we met her. She came to our home for the meeting and immediately began taking notes and giving us ideas. Planning a wedding at your home is a pretty daunting task, or at least it was for us since we had just moved in a few months prior and we had a lot of work we wanted to do. Being January, all of our plants and grass were pretty much dead (or looked that way) but Sharon didn't flinch a bit when we told her we envisioned getting married in our backyard. She gave us a ton of information and ideas before we ever signed the contract and then she went over all of the details over what her packages included. She recommended we go with her Lady in Waiting package which is essentially a day-of coordinator package like we were looking for. However Sharon provided WAY more help which began immediately for us. She recommended vendors and exchanged innumberable emails with us leading up to the big day. She even met with a vendor for me when I was unable, and took over all of our vendors the month prior to the wedding. A few weeks before the big day she came again to our home to see how everything was coming along and go over the timeline with us. She again made lots of notes and recommendations on how to get things to run smoothly and she really listened to us as far as what kind of feel we were going for. We really didn't want things to seem too planned or scheduled. We wanted everything to just flow naturally while still adhering as close as possible to a timeline. The day of the wedding Sharon and her assistant (part of her business includes training other event planners) arrived on time. Her assistant's help is included in the original cost and they were BOTH amazing! Sharon immediately began seeing to everything that needed to be set up all while explaining to her assistant what the plan was and how we wanted everything set up. Sharon was an extremely professional and dependable coordinator who went out of her way to make our wedding run flawlessly! I was truly amazed that there were no hiccups during our wedding, and that everything just seem to happen so effortlessly! I would encourage anyone planning a wedding to hire Event Planners of Houston to help out EVEN if you are planning on keeping it simple or doing most everything your self. I really couldn't put a price on how nice it was for my husband, our families and I to just be able to relax the day of the wedding and not worry about what time it was or what should be happening next. Hiring Sharon was by far the BEST decision we made in planning our wedding and we are already discussing hiring her for future parties or events that we might have in the future.
Kim did an amazing job with the floral requests for our wedding! I was dreaming of a grand floral piece for our ceremony arch (inspired by a Pinterest post which can sometimes be a set up for disappointment) but she executed my dream BEAUTIFULLY! I was absolutely thrilled with her work, and she was lovely to work with. Her price point was very reasonable and the quality far exceeded my expectations! Thank you, Kim :)
Stephanie was a life-saver for our wedding day and made it very enjoyable, instead of worrying about details. She was very professional and helped guide us through planning the day-of activities as well as handled the small decorations and costumes my wife wanted at the reception. We highly recommend her, she is worth every penny!
Lashonda is great to work with. She took care of my party while I enjoyed. From the setup till the disposal she was there throughout. She took care of all the little details and did a wonderful job for my daughter’s first birthday! I will definitely hire her again. And recommend her. All my friends were impressed with the decorations and management of the event!

Do not let the appearance of a team of 3 fool you. I am confident that Amanda will make my dream day a total success! Out of all the planners that I spoke with Amanda understood my vision and is just as excited as I am to build the wedding of our dreams. On top of designing, she has a list of vendors working with The Event Group and is helping me to coordinate the entire event. We just started planning, but I refuse to do the event without Amanda by my side working through all those details that matter. Will definitely all before/after photos.

Shaun Gray and his team did a great job when we hired their services for hosting my son's surprise high school graduation party. The décor was exactly what I wanted, food was amazing and people kept asking me the caterer's name. I told them Shaun found the caterer. Everything was delivered and set up on time and the party events went off exactly as planned. Shaun responded to emails promptly and was very flexible to accommodate last minute changes. .Overall it was a very positive experience and I would not hesitate to recommend him.
These guys are awesome! They went above and beyond what was expected setting up for my engagement proposal to my now fiancé! They have wonderful ideas and deliver an excellent final product. If you are looking for someone to design and decorate your next event you should definently give them a call!
Mika is the greatest! She was VERY patient with my never ending indecisiveness. At a moments notice she suggested venues, concepts, vendors and almost saw my grand fairytale (huge) wedding through to completion. At the very last minute my fiancé (now husband) decided to ditch our lavish wedding plans to elope. Sounds easy right? Wrong. I didn't expect that an elopement would require planning. When I first told Mika of our plans I thought she would be greatly disappointed (we were planning for almost a year) but she quickly asked the questions that I didn't think of (where, licensing requirements, etc.). Although we've previously visited, getting married in Paris (our original plan) was not as easy as hopping on a plane and saying I do. However, Mika suggested a few other locations one of which was a Winner! We got married on the fabulous west "platinum" coast not too far from Sandy Lane. Mika connected me with local vendor information (photographers, hair stylists) and while she was not able to attend in person (this was all planned within ONE month) she recommended a day of coordinator (that went above and beyond) and we were in very great hands. First comes love then comes marriage then comes the baby carriage...but before that point I'll make sure Mika is involved in the baby shower planning. :)
