Myself, my family and our pets have been customers of Tri-County K9 Academy for over 12 years. Whether our dogs are just starting obedience training, are working out for a dog trial, if we have a pet we have a behavior issue we need help with, or if I need assistance with my Service Dog, both Darryl and Tammy have been patient, excellent instructors and their daughters are great helpers. The environment at Tri-County K9 is set up to be safe, educational and rewarding for both animals and humans. They have watched over several of our dogs when we have had to leave town on short notice and we have always come home to happy, clean dogs that you can just tell had a well rounded fun time. Tri-County K9 Academy is an excellent experience for all whether you are training with your own dog, having your dog trained, adopting one of the many dogs rescued and rehabbed at Tri-County, needing boarding, or becoming a better dog owner. Tri-County K9 Academy should be your first stop for all your K9 needs.

My husband and I went on a 10-day vacation and Kara was absolutely amazing with our little kitten! Not only is she very professional, experienced and patient, but she genuinely treated our little kitten as if he was her own. My husband and I hand-raised and bottle-raised our kitten since he was 2 days old, so I had a lot of anxiety leaving him with someone else. Kara took the time to meet with him at our home before our trip. I so appreciated that Kara sent pictures, videos and little updates on how our kitten was doing during her daily visits. As a self-professed "helicopter" kitten mom, it definitely gave me peace of mind and really made our vacation stress-free. My husband and I enjoy traveling and will definitely be asking Kara to pet sit again. 100% recommend Fuzzy Face Pet Sitting!

Patty more than exceeded our expectations while watching our dog for us. She was so easy to work with, prompt, caring, & went above and beyond to make us feel our dog and home were taken care of. She is very kind and our dog just loves her! She also left a small surprise for my daughters when we got back and they were so happy. Thank you so much for being so amazing to our family and such a pleasure to work with.

Hello. My name is Daniel Doud. I've always loved animals and being able to babysit your little ones or just take them on their daily walks. It makes my life better while keeping your pet healthy and happy.

I can teach almost anything, and the prices are low and very explanatory. I love kids and teaching. I can even potty train your kids or puppy. I do house sitting and nurture your plants. I'm great with fish. I have several large tanks myself. Just ask. I bet we can work something out.

I provide in-your-home pet care services as a more convenient and less stressful alternative to boarding your family pet. I'm available to help with those long hours at work, business trips, vacation or holiday plans, trips to the dog park, potty breaks or the last-minute needs that happen so often in our busy lives. My services are customized to match your pets' needs such as feeding, watering, cuddling and playing, in addition to cleaning litter boxes, dog walking and administering medications. In-home-pet sitting also adds another layer of security by giving the appearance of someone being at your home. I bring in newspapers, remove fliers from the door, cycling lights and blinds, etc. I visit your pets in your home, on their schedule and eliminate the need to impose on friends, neighbors or family. Your pets stay in their home, surrounded by familiar sights, sounds and smells, and exposure to other pet illnesses is eliminated. Your search for professional pet care shows you want only the best for your pet and consider them a part of the family. My services are designed with both you and your pet in mind, providing a loving, reliable service that ensures your pets' happiness, safety and well-being and peace of mind for you. Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to hire a house sitter?

House-sitting can be a lifesaver when you’re leaving town for any length of time. Whether you work remotely, you’re taking a much-needed vacation, or you just want to road-trip for a few days, it’s wise to have a pro keep an eye on your house and pets while you’re gone. Your home is more likely to stay safe and you won’t have to wrangle the kitty into a kennel to travel with you. The national average pet-sitting price ranges between $20 and $30. Pet-sitting and house-sitting costs will vary based on where you live in the country and regional labor rates. Another factor in cost is how long you want the house-sitter to stay. Some people prefer to have the house-sitter stay the night at their house, perhaps to care for an elderly pet or simply to keep a watchful eye on the home at all times. Overnight stays will cost more, ranging anywhere from $50 to $100, depending on services provided. For day visits, house-sitting and pet-sitting prices will increase incrementally the longer the visit and the more service you want performed. For example, a quick 10-minute visit to feed and walk the pet and bring in the mail could be $12.50, a 25-minute visit could be $18, a 40-minute visit $25, and a 50-minute visit $32. How much should you pay for a pet sitter?

Pet sitting provides your precious pet with in-home care. A pet-sitter can make a brief visit during the day to provide snacks, playtime or affection, or stay at your house for one or more nights to tend to your pet. Prices for pet-sitting will vary based on length of the visit. Nationally, pet sitting prices range from $20 to $30, although prices run higher for your sitter to stay the night. Prices will also be affected by where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pet-sitting prices based on length of time and region:

    • 30-minute visit: $17 in a small Texas town.
    • 30-minute visit: $25 in Southern California.
      • 45-minute visit: $28.
      • 60-minute visit: $32.
    • Overnight stay (10 hours): $50 in Texas.
    • Overnight stay (10 hours): $85 in Southern California.
      • 12 hours: $100.
      • 24 hours: $200. This is a good option for a sick, elderly or brand-new pet that needs constant supervision.
