I have been training with Tres at Spartan Strength Training for about 3 months and love the results I am seeing. I have lost several inches off my waist and other areas and with his meal plan and workout plan I have way more energy now. I am currently training for an International Physique League competition. I have been training with different trainers since Dec 2016.I have switched trainers so many times I lost count. I was having a very hard time finding the right trainer to get me ready for stage; until I met Zak. Meeting Zak was a prayer answered. I was on the verge of giving up my dreams of competing. Since I started training with Zak my muscle strength and definition has improved a great deal. All the compliments I have been getting from my friends and coworkers are prove. Zak had me squatting bars I never though I would be able to. He has turned my "i can't" to, "look what I just did",Zak has taken personal interest in getting me stage ready. He gives me workouts to practice on days that am not training with him, and follows up to see that I am on track. He also checks to see that I stay on track with my meals. His rates are much better than all the other trainers (I had trained with); and yet he seems to know more than all the other trainers I had worked with. I cannot thank Zak enough, in him I have gained a friend to walk with me as I pursue my dream of competing. I would recommend Zak to anyone looking for a trainer. You will definitely not regret it.This will be worth your time and money. Zachary ROCKS!!!!!!

I started with Adam four years ago, not having worked out in a veryong time. My level of fitness was close to zero. He personalized a training program for me which included weights, cardio and diet. I lost 60 pounds my first year with him. My second year saw me run my first half marathon....this is from someone who had never previously run. There were days when I just couldn't get motivated. Adam was extremely empathetic yet wouldn't let me quit. Over four years, we rarely missed a session and my life is immeasurably better because of it. I can't recommend Adam highly enough. Adam is courteous, prompt and dedicated and knows how to get results.

Ruby is the best! Ruby comes to my house every other week, or however often I'm available. She has helped me with my flexibility, motivation and stamina. She has been training me for a few months now and she is always on time. She always has fun and new ways to work out with different types of equipment. I ran my first 5K yesterday. I was not able to do that 5 months ago. Andy has pushed me to be my best. He genuinely wants to see me reach my goals. I had major surgery in May and he has been helping me gain my strength back week by week. He is so knowledgeable in fitness and nutrition and watches my form to make sure I am not hurting myself in any way. He pushes me when I want to be lazy and make excuses and motivates me when I want to give up. He helps me be patient and reminds me this is a journey and takes time.....iI even have my mother training with him because he is realky good with training individuals at any level in their health and fitness journey. Joseph is an amazing trainer. I have been working out with him for about 6 months and have been more than happy with my results. I have lost 13 pounds and 4% body fat. He not only provides great training sessions but he also creates a meal plan tailored to meet each client's individual goals. I've always been a super active person, but for some reason when my husband and I moved to Texas a year ago, I had lost all motivation to do any type of working out/running. One day at church I had heard my pastor talk about how he'd lost a bunch of weight with the help of Warren. It was pretty inspirational. So the next day I got in touch with Warren and set up our first training session. I have now seen him twice a week for almost two months now, and I've honestly never felt better about myself. I've lost weight, toned up, and now I can't stop. He knows just when to push you and just when to give you that little extra motivation to get you through a set. He's super flexible with his time, and will meet with you wherever you feel most comfortable. I truly consider him a gift from God. He is blessed with a gift to help people and motivate people in a way I've never seen. Meeting with him for the first time 2 months ago was one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself. I would recommend Warren to anyone in search of that one thing they are lacking...motivation. Warren has enough to give the world. If I could rate this man higher than five stars, I would. That's how amazing he is. Take my advice and call/text/email this guy...it will be the best decision you ever make for yourself...and for your health.

Private atmosphere w professional trainers that will design a specific program to fit your needs. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or professional athlete you'll be amazed w the knowledge and help you'll get here. Individual, couple, or small group training. They have it all!! Difference between Get FHIIT and other places, private means private (not a gym full of people) and true knowledge and education well beyond just personal trainers certification. Get your scale and your muscles moving in the right direction. If they have an opening, you should try them out. If they are no longer taking new clients, get on the wait list. It's worth a try and worth the wait. Personally, I drive 45 minutes one way, the results are worth my time.

I have been training with Janelle more than 4 years now. She puts time into customizing a work out for me working around all of my injuries and muscle weakness. She pushes me into doing more than I ever would on my own. It's been a month, I've been trained by Trey. He is not just helping me with get my fitness, but also very knowledgeable about sports medicine, that is something very helpful for my knee ACL recovery. I totally feels that I'm getting the value out of the time that I'm spending in getting trained. One more thing I like about the method of his training is that he didn't directly put me on exercises, but he listened to me, found my strengths and weakness, then based on that he started training me. With this I'm confident that I can achieve my goals.

Amber became my personal trainer almost two years ago, after I hit my highest weight two years after having my son. I was sick of people assuming I was 7 months pregnant all the time. What should you wear to kickboxing?

What you wear to kickboxing can vary based on the setting. For kickboxing group fitness classes that are part of a gym’s cardio class schedule, standard fitness attire is appropriate. Athletic sneakers, pants or shorts that you can comfortably kick in without getting tangled or flashing anyone, and a top that allows for easy movement when punching and jabbing are all good choices. You won’t need protective gear or gloves, as most cardio-based kickboxing classes do not use punching bags.

Kickboxing training that takes place at a martial arts studio typically requires protective gear. You may need boxing gloves (beginners may want 12-ounce or heavier gloves for more cushioning) and hand wraps that protect and support your hands under the gloves while you punch the bag. If your kickboxing training includes sparring with opponents, you’ll need a mouthguard and any protective head and body gear your studio requires. Always be sure to bring plenty of water, too.

What is a boot camp class?

Fitness boot camps are a heart-pounding way to boost your fitness level. Boot camps are led by a fitness instructor and are based on the concept of military boot camps — intensive workout programs to get new recruits into shape, quickly. Fitness boot camps encourage camaraderie, and the group momentum helps participants get through fast-paced intervals of cardio, isometric training, strength training and endurance drills. Classes may range anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes, and usually meet multiple days per week. Boot camps often run a specific duration of time, say four to six weeks, which creates a team-like environment for class members. Other boot camps run year-round and students purchase package pricing for classes, similar to subscriptions that allow them a set amount of classes per week or per month.

Boot camps can be held indoors at a gym, outdoors in a park or on a beach, in a backyard — anywhere there’s room for running, jumping and sweating. Some instructors also provide DVD and online boot camps. You can also find boot camps tailored to your heart’s desire, such as bikini boot camp, or boot camps for new mothers. Boot camps offer an intense workout and are usually led by energetic instructors pushing you to do your best, but unlike military boot camp drill sergeants, fitness boot camp instructors typically don’t use intimidation or punishment to spur you on. Check with your doctor before starting a boot camp if you have health concerns, and always let your instructor know ahead of time if you have injuries.

Is kickboxing hard?

Kickboxing is as intense a workout as you want it to be. As with any fitness regimen, the more effort you put in, the more results you will get. The type of kickboxing you do will determine how physically challenging it is. Combat or self-defense kickboxing, where you train in a martial arts studio with sandbags or spar against combat partners, can be an intense physical workout. Group kickboxing classes that use sandbags as part of the workout will also elevate the degree of intensity, because of the level of exertion punching and kicking the bag requires. Cardio kickboxing group fitness, which employ kicking and punching moves but no sandbags, has comparable intensity to jogging but works a wider range of muscles while increasing strength, flexibility and coordination. Here are some of the core kickboxing moves:

  • Cross: A straight punch that you throw slightly across your body, using your dominant hand.
  • Jab: A quick, straight, face punch. Usually thrown with the non-dominant hand.
  • Uppercut: A punch thrown up from the midsection (using either hand) that connects with the underside of your opponent’s chin.
  • Hook: A curved punch (using either hand) that connects with your competitor’s jaw or chin.
  • Side kick: A kick delivered when your competitor is at an angle to you. Raise your leg to the side, then bend at the knee to deliver the kick.
  • Front kick: A kick delivered straight on while you are facing your opponent.
  • Roundhouse kick: A kick delivered by swinging a leg up in a clockwise or counterclockwise motion (depending on which leg you’re using) with momentum to strike the opponent with the instep of the foot.

What do you need for kickboxing?

What you need to bring to kickboxing depends on where you are working out and what your goals are. For a gym or fitness club’s cardio-based group kickboxing class that does not use punching bags, you generally need only appropriate workout gear and enough water. For kickboxers who are training in a martial arts studio, working one-on-one with a trainer toward a specific goal or sparring with competitors, you will need your own boxing gloves (12- to 16-ounce gloves provide more protection for beginners) and hand wraps (to protect and support your hands under the gloves, as well as keep them dry). If your lessons are in a martial arts studio, you may not be permitted to wear shoes, so bring clean socks if you don’t like to go barefoot. If your training includes sparring, you may be required to wear a mouthguard and/or protective headgear. Whether you’re in a group fitness class or hardcore training session, bring a sweat towel for your comfort and the comfort of people around you.

How much is a boot camp?

The cost of fitness boot camps depends on how often you go, the package you are purchasing (or if you are paying a drop-in fee), the location of the bootcamp, the equipment the instructors provide, and the background and reputation of the instructor. Smaller towns and areas with a lower cost of living typically have lower rates for boot camp services than big cities and regions with a higher cost of living. If you’re paying per class on a drop-in basis, expect to pay anywhere from $12 to $25 or more, depending on the region and the instructor. When you purchase a package of classes, typically the more you buy at one time, the cheaper each class is. The same boot camp class might be $20 for a drop-in student, $15 for a student who pays for 10 classes per month, and $10 for a student who pays for 30 classes a month. Studio space can also affect costs, so if your boot camp takes place in a high-end gym with top-of-the-line equipment, the prices will likely be higher than a class that meets in an outdoor space with limited or no equipment. Shop around to find the right type of boot camp class and the right instructor for you.
