Thank you so much for your kind words. I was very happy to have worked with you.
Guillaume did really good job. He was on time, accomplished various small jobs skillfully. I will use him again when I have other handyman jobs in the future.Aug 8, 2016VerifiedGuillaume Gourault's reply
I appreciate you taking the time to write a review! I would be more than happy to help with any future jobs you have.
We hired Guillaume to fix a bad shower install from a year ago. The installers had screwed the hinges into the drywall, not into a stud (as they thought they did) and the enclosure was starting to pull away from the wall! He came by and installed a stud extension, and fixed the shower head (which was also shifting due to a too heavy shower head I installed... whoops). He is incredibly nice, and thorough. I am glad to have a good handyman nearby and will definitely hire him for any project in the future. His prices are very reasonable, and he won't charge you more than the quote if he needs to come back and put an extra coat of paint on. Plus it's a great opportunity to brush up on your french!Sep 25, 2016VerifiedGuillaume Gourault's reply

Guillaume finished some tile work on an outdoor kitchen for me. He did an excellent job and was very reasonably priced. Very happy with the work.Sep 25, 2019Verified
Guillaume came to repair wood rot and replace dry wall at my home and he did an excellent job. He was very personable and talked me through every step of the way. The wall looks great now! Thanks!Jun 23, 2017VerifiedGuillaume Gourault's reply
I am so happy that you are happy with the way it turned out. Please don't hesitate to contact me in the future if you need any help.
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I give my clients the option of paying by the hour with a set rate of $55 per hour or I can give them a detailed estimate that gives them the whole cost of the project. For smaller projects payment is due upon completion. Larger projects may require half of the payment upfront to cover costs. Transportation is always included in the price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? For larger projects I prefer to come out and see the project first hand before I give a price. There is nothing more frustrating as a client than to get a price from a handyman and then have it change at the end. To ensure this doesn't happen I offer free quotes to all my clients and provide them with a detailed estimate. Once the client approves the estimate we get to the fun part of setting a time to start.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have extensive knowledge in concrete engineering as well as construction. I have a degree from France as an Engineer specializing in concrete and I ran a construction company from 1994 to 2000. I also worked as a project manager for a company that renovated banks. My job was to price all projects for my region and oversee all aspects of the renovations. When I moved to Texas to be close to my wife's family I had the opportunity to work as a Wood Shop teacher for a school.
