I also make sure I communicate with the student and ask questions about their other interests to make the connection between swimming and other sports that do. We had our 9 year old take swimming lessons from Alan and were so pleased with the entire experience. Alan was an amazing teacher, took time to learn how my son needed to be motivated and taught and made every lesson a blast. My son went from a kid who could not leave the shallow end to a kid who is jumping in the deep end and swimming for hours with his friends!

Alan is a great instructor. He was very flexible and accommodating with scheduling. He helped me improve my free style swimming technique. I learned a lot under guidance and would enjoyed working with him.

Alan could teach me the American freestyle with ultimate efficiency. I can say that if you take lessons with him, you will have the best, the most efficient and the most beautiful arm movement on the planet. ..people will look at you in the pool and wonder how you do it! He also taught me how to dive, another thing I had always wanted to do in my life...and how to rotate in the water for my turns...I am in my fifties.. This teacher is amazing, - and to no surprise, extremy nice:)

Alan did a terrific job helping my 6 year old learn some new skills for a tryout and accommodated our busy schedule. He was easy to work with and very nice, and gave me lots of good information. Highly recommend him!

American Red Cross provides the certification for Water Safety Instructor with many on-line and live opportunities for training and improvement. USAT provides coaching training as well
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Swimming is part of my lifestyle and exercise so I saw the benefit of how I was helped by others to then pass that on.
