Michael is a great instructor, I can tell. He definitely knows what he's talking about when it comes to music theory and learning your way around the fretboard. In just one hour of being instructed by him, I learned more information than I have in my 8 years of self-teaching! I highly recommend this instructor, and I would set him up with anybody who's interested in learning about the guitar! Go to this gentleman!

I'm so glad I found a guitar teacher like Vic. I have always been interested in learning to play guitar and wanted the best instruction possible. With only a few lessons, I feel that I've grasped concepts of music theory and already become a better player. He's patient, kind, and a very skilled musician. I couldn't have asked for a better instructor. I completely recommend working with him!

f you’re looking for serious results and a no-nonsense approach to learning an instrument, I highly recommend The Ridglea School of Music. Taking music lessons as an adult can be intimidating. You don’t really know how your secret inner-desire to be a rock star will be taken by those you share it with. Usually people just smile and nod. The only thing that’s a sure thing, is that you’ll find someone who will take your money and tell you “good job.” Why bother, right? It’s so much easier to just sit at home and play the same tabs over and over again and pat yourself on the back. From my first lesson with my teacher Eric, he took my dreams of starting a band and showed me how to make them happen. Eric met me where I was and gently let me know what I needed to work on. I never felt intimidated or embarrassed. I wanted results and Eric showed me how I could achieve them the right way.

Joel Tolley is a wise and direct teacher. In my years of training beginning from a grade school student to college, I have never had a more thorough teaching of music theory than from Joel. He explains concepts simply and matter of factly, providing little guesswork for the student. Learning is easy under Joel if you have a desire to grow in your craft. Under his tutelage, you will be mentored, challenged, and grown into a better musician and have a deeper understanding of music and musical theory. Joel is not only a top notch teacher, but he is a practicer of what he preaches. He is more dedicated to his work than almost anyone else I know and lives out what he pours into his students. If you are serious about honing your skills and really want to grow as a musician, I cannot recommend anyone more than Joel Tolley.

Mike has been amazing! He's acquired great knowledge over the years and loves to share it with his students. I am currently learning music theory and he's made it fun and simple. In just a short month, I've learned about R, 3rd, and 5th, major/minor chords, and how to discover the key of a music piece just by listening to it. Again I say, this guy is truly amazing! I'm happy to have used thumbtack as a resource to find him. I feel his passion for music correlates with his teaching methods. Thanks for all you do Mike!

Andrew is awesome. He's very skilled and knowledgeable, and his teaching is style is great. He focuses on my goals and what I like to play instead of just telling me what exercises to play. He can even explain music theory in a way that makes sense. He really motivates me to do my best. To top it all off, he's very nice and I'm very happy to be working with him.

i took lessons from kenneth for several years, from middle school until i graduated from high school. i enjoyed and always looked forward to my lesson each week. he was always encouraging and exposed me to new music and musical ideas/techniques and was, in effect, my mentor for those years. i greatly enjoyed learning from him during those years and have always recommended him to friends and anyone who's inquired about suggestions on music lessons.

We hired Anthony to teach our 11 yr old daughter how to play the guitar. This is her first instrument. Anthony was a pure delight to work with, was always on time and sometimes even stayed a little over to make sure the lesson(s) were taught. He even helped us find a GOOD guitar for our daughter. Our daughter looked forward to each lesson with Anthony. He even broadened his lessons to include vocal coaching as well. I would highly recommend Anthony for anyone needing a music or vocal coach.

Andra is a dear friend of mine. She is incredibly talented, easy to relate to, and she has a wonderful presence about her. She has helped me with learning how to better express myself through music and has taught me a thing or two on the bass guitar. I would highly recommend her as a teacher!
