I did a lot of research and visited three types of gyms to find the right fit for my exercise and nutrition needs. I'm very pleased with the results I've had working with Patty as my trainer for the past 3 months. I really like the variety of cardio and strength training of each session and she continues to challenge me to increase intensity and endurance. And, the TaiChi/Yoga Fusion class is awesome! Patty and I are the same age, so I appreciate that she can relate to me as a woman, a driven career oriented person and a mom. April provided a small group yoga practice that focused on a closer reexamination of basic poses. She was attentive to the needs, questions, and abilities of each of us while still maintaining a flowing and well rounded practice. I left feeling much more informed and confident with poses that I had practiced for years.
I first connected with Rou last August at her Kemetic Yoga class in Mueller Park. I was impressed by her enthusiasm and focus on the mat, which as I would later find out, translates to her focus off the mat as well. She is a true leader - a very rare jewel - and I'm glad I know her.
Emily combines contemporary dance flow with yoga in her classes. It really loosens those tight spots, and especially helped with my back. After a week of sitting over work at your job, your back really gets out wack. She puts a lot of thought into the meditation at the end of the class. She also helps you understand more about each pose that you can't really get in other classes. I highly recommend you try her class!
I’ve been working with Falling Awake for about a year now. I love the discipline that he displays through his daily practice of meditation, yoga and plant based nutrition. About the time I turned 50 I realized my boot camp workout were over, so on the recommendation of a friend, I sought out Carole. The minute I saw her smiling face, I could feel the her positive energy. I didn't know what she could do for me, but I just had to do it! Over the course of our sessions, Carole was able to zero in on my kinks and prescribe exercises that targeted problem areas while understanding that as we get older, some of us need to exercise more efficiently. More weights, stretching and a little lower intensity really helped me immensely. Carole is constantly pursuing knowledge and experience in new areas of health and fitness to bolster her already commanding knowledge. Plus, she has a philosophy that encompasses both Eastern and Western approaches to health. Her impressive background in mixed martial arts and body building are always present so if you want to go for it, she will take you there! If you just want to focus on restorative techniques and yoga, she can help you with that, too. She's extremely flexible from session to session, depending on what your body is saying that day. I can't express enough how much I enjoy training with Carole and how much she has helped me. I highly recommend her.
