After being extremely disappointed in the drywall and painting work done by a previous contractor, I hired Isaac Delcid to redo the previous contractor's work and then continued to use him on one project after another. Not only did he make the walls that were floated and painted by the prior contractor perfectly smooth, he astounded everyone working on my renovation project by being able to float an extremely textured room and ceiling to a perfectly smooth finish. On a Sunday, He even provided free examples of how the finished wall would look because I had a hard time believing it could be floated smooth. Later, his tile expert installed some challenging tiles in a bathroom at no charge to demonstrate that these tiles could also be installed with a perfectly smooth surface. I was amazed enough to have Isaac Delcid's crew rip out all of the tiles in three other bathrooms that were poorly done by a previous contractor and reinstall them perfectly. Well worth the money. Isaac Delcid is an extremely good communicator, generates professional proposals, is able to do the work quickly and efficiently, and never fails to impress me. I have had at least nine contractors on this project and Isaac Delcid is definitely the best in the business. I almost regret writing this positive review, because I want to keep him for my own projects only!
We had the hardest time getting someone to come out and pour a slab for us... within 5-min of posting on thumbtack, we received a bid and a phone call from this contractor. The work was quick and efficient. The contractor and his crew were very polite. The slab is great and we will soon be having hours of fun on our new family outdoor chessboard! I would definitely use this contractor again!!!
I hired Fernando Saucedo Company to make my vision of a concrete pathway beside my home come to life. My vision was of a nice clean design pathway which consist of 24" x 54" concrete slabs divided by 4" river rocks for a steady walkway. Now, this project had many PROs and CONs to which I will speak mostly on the PROs. The main thing one should know when hiring Fernando Saucedo Company is they were VERY professional and reliable from the very first meeting until job completion. *** PROs: 1. Mr. Saucedo came out and spent a good amount of time talking to me to figure out the best way to do this project so it had excellent drainage and a nice appearance. Good communication all the way around which is very important for contractors to do. 2. Mr. Saucedo and his parter Mr. Antonio is polite, nice, and respectable. 3. The price was GREAT and comparably lower than 5 other estimates I received. This is a smaller run company so they don't have the extra overhead cost as other do. 4. Mr. Saucedo returned calls and/or texts within a timely matter. 5. Mr. Antonio was tidy and extremely detail oriented. He wanted to give me the exact concrete finish that I wanted. 6. They was totally open to suggestions along the way. 7. They address any to all of my concerns. 8. They completed the job in less then three weeks. 9. When they were called back to fix a couple minor issues they again showed how reliable and professional they were. 10. Mr. Saucedo told me he is willing to take on all sizes of jobs, including smaller jobs that other masonry contractors won't. Him and his parter Mr. Antonio take pride in all of their jobs, no matter how large or how small. ***CONs: 1. I did not find out until day two when cement was poured that this (my project) was they first time doing a concrete slabs pathway but you would never have know that by looking at the end result. 2. This project was physically demanding for only two guys but with my help we pull it off and completed the job. Overall, I were satisfied with their work and highly recommend Fernando Saucedo Company and will surely use them in the near future. We need to reward small business that manages to be both honest and high quality, because so few exist. If you choose to use Fernando Saucedo Company you will not be disappointed.
Perfect experience with Tell Projects. Worst experience with one of their contractors. 1st let me say that I give 5 stars to Tell Projects for my sunroom renovation. Everything went perfect from the estimate to the final project. I also wanted my bathroom renovated and decided to use Tell Project's contractor Luis Moreno. He told me he could do the renovation for cheaper than the estimate I was given by Tell Projects (HE LIED), after he started the bathroom renovation EVERYTHING was considered "extra" and this is where the DISASTER started. I had to not only purchase the glass shower door, vanity, and the closet door on my own, but he also asked for more money because he claimed he spent alot of money on the tile "he insisted on picking the tile for the shower". He used kitchen plumbing under my vanity sink (leaked after 1st day), his "father in law" installed my shower faucet backwards ( I now get burned when I turn the water off), AND all of my tools are missing because they kept using my tools and never returned them. I knew this was a disaster when I walked in and saw the person installing the shower door watching a YOUTUBE video on how to install it. In the end, I had to hire a plumber to install the plumbing under my sink, a shower door specialist to re-install the shower door so that it closes properly, and apply silicon for the leaks around the shower door. DO NOT use LUIS MORENO for any projects! He never finished my bathroom and took my money without finishing the job. I have nothing but good words for Tell Projects. But don't use their contractor Luis Moreno. You will be sorry!
Will contacted me within minutes of my post. He came to my house on a Sunday afternoon to give me a final price. He had already given me an estimate over the phone. He brought samples to the house for my wife to choose from. The deal was done in about 30 minutes. I have worked as a contractor for years in the past. I recognized that Will had the ability to handle a lot of things going on at once. I let him know I understood what he has to deal with and that I had a lot of respect for contractors who could juggle things like I seen he has to do. My assessment of W.C. Granite works is based on all aspects of the experience. Last of which is going to be the installation of the granite. My wife and I felt comfortable with the crew he sent. They were very proficient at what they were doing. They were careful around the house. They communicated well with us. I had an immediate sense of trust towards them. The next time I have Granite work to do I will be calling Will for sure.
Stan messaged me on Thumbtack within just a few hours of my post. He had a detailed description of what he was going to do and a reasonable price to do a relatively routine ceiling drywall patch. Stan and Craig showed up on time for the job and set up a large area of plastic tarp to shield my guest bedroom from debris. They were very thorough in the repair and meticulous to match the texture of the replacement with the surrounding ceiling. I didn’t expect them to paint the celling after they were done but he did! I didn’t think I had any matching paint on hand and Stan was willing to run to get some. That’s how dedicated to a great job these guys are. We ended up finding some paint but the fact that he was willing to go out of his way shows his integrity. I WILL use them again if ever needed (God willing I wont need too but...) because they offer a high quality service and superior customer service. In the day and age of contractors hosing their clients out of money, Galveston Contractors is a welcoming exception!
I wish that all the contractors were like Scott at Houston Area Concrete. He responded so fast to every phone call or text. He never talked down to me. He followed my instructions which were numerous because I had 6 concrete slabs of various sizes to pour on my acreage property in one project. He was cautious around all of the underground lines that I marked for him. He made my wife so very happy by giving her an "S" curved front sidewalk. He took a verbal concept and made it happen. (I'm a hero at home now thanks to Scott.) The price was very fair. And just as a finishing touch, he moved some excess dirt to right where I needed it without me even needing to ask him to do that. He has a great crew. They are quiet, efficient, and get about their business the moment that they step out of their truck. He did what he said he would do in terms of thickness and rebar. He showed up when he said that he would. He did all of the work in one day. And he left me with instructions on how to treat the concrete as it cures. What more can you ask for?
Great contractor. Good communication in regards to understanding and explaining the job requirements. Very responsive and follows through on commitments. Good quality work at a great price. Highly recommended for your next job.
Derek promptly came to our home to provide us with an estimate to widen our driveway and discussed some possible solutions for us. I feel the pricing he provided was very reasonable, however; we ultimately decided not to proceed with the project. Had we have moved forward, we likely would have selected DS Asphalt for the job due to Derek's responsiveness, professionalism, and the fair pricing. I'd also like to mention that in addition to getting pricing on the spot, Derek followed up with a written quote via email that same day. I've come to find that many other contractors in the area can take several days to provide written estimates, so I think this is worth noting.
I received three quotes. Mr. Garcia's quote was much less than the other two quotes due to the amount of shingles that were necessary to reroof my house. I told him the other roofing contractors quoted more shingles than he was and asked what if it takes more? He said the difference would be on him due to a wrong estimate. When he came to sign contract, he remeasured my roof and said he was correct in his estimate. Mr. Garcia saved me some serious $$$$. I was so happy with the one day roofing job, I am hiring him to do more work for me as well as my neighbor is hiring Mr. Garcia to do work for him as well. Thank you Robert Garcia for you honesty, integrity and one day service...!
John Guillot, the owner of Atlas Construction and Remodeling, is a very friendly guy who is courteous, kind and professional. All attributes consumers like me look for when hiring professional help around the house. It is also a huge plus that Mr. Guillot is very knowledgeable and does amazing work too. I hired Mr. Guillot to do a welding job to my favorite chair. My chair is like new again! Without reservation, I highly recommend the services of Atlas Construction and Remodeling. We are using Atlas Construction and Remodeling for our 'bucket list' of work starting with painting. Thank you, -Tim Tim Kightlinger BSN, RN League City, Texas 77573
I couldn't have asked for a better experience than the one I had with Modern Aztec Construction LLC. I hired them to repair my driveway, and through every step of the process they provided nothing but exceptional, professional, and outstanding service. Esaul & Hippolito were two of the nicest, most dependable, punctual contractors I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I will definitely be calling Modern Aztec for any work I might need in the future. You can count on these guys!
Everything about David and his company was exceptional. I needed someone to give me some ideas of how to make some small changes to my landscaping on a small budget and he suggested changing out the borders of my beds with a different rock and it's beautiful. He also added much needed color with flowers and new shrubs. He and/or his crew always showed up on time and his prices were the best!
Eric was a great contractor to work with. Even though there were a few issues with the back yard patio. Eric was fantastic in getting the problem fixed. He stayed in regular communication while waiting on supplies to arrive and the weather windows to open up. He did everything necessary to fix the problem and went above and beyond what was needed to make things right! I would highly recommend him for future work and would easily use him again. Its hard to find great people to work with and even harder to find honest hard working people who take pride in the work they do and value their reputation!
Daniel's crew installed a gate and completed general fence repair for us. The work was completed quickly, and we were very pleased with the quality of the work. The gate was a challenge because it had to be installed on an awkward slope. It turned out better than I could have hoped. We would certainly use Daniel & Son again.
O’Neil was amazing! He showed up on time and really listened to our situation and needs for our masonry repairs. His compassion for us as Harvey flood rebuilders was above and beyond our experiences with other contractors. He offered us a VERY fair price for the work. He will be our go-to mason for all our future needs. Hiring O’Neil was the best choice and it will be yours too!!!
Manuel Zarate replaced our ugly cement walkway with beautiful brick pavers. Manuel has a great eye for detail and made it look perfect. We couldn't be happier with the result. Manuel made us love the front of the house again. Thank you for a great job!!
I couldn't have hired a better contractor! Returned calls, texts and answered questions too! Ronnie showed up on time and completed the project on time. The quality of his work is perfect.
Masonry experts. Reasonable pricing. Communication on point.
It is a rare experience indeed when you're genuinely happy working with a contractor. I recently had a new roof installed and needed to get some fascia boards replaced. Big Tyme Construction (Cory) came out to assess the work needed. He sent me a written estimate the next day. Big Tyme crew showed up the next rain-free day. I was very impressed and appreciative of the care they took working around my brand new shingles. Truth be told, the fascia board work should've been done before the roof install but that didn't deter Big Tyme crew from getting the job done to my satisfaction. They went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I highly recommend BigTyme Construction.
I’ve worked with a slew of contractors from all types of trades and working with Nestor was - by far - the best experience that I have ever had with a contractor. He knew all aspects of the concrete process and was obviously well seasoned. I would recommend Nestor for absolutely any concrete project anyone might have. He was on time - actually early - then when the truck came he directed the driver through the pour then took care of the finishing. He didn’t rush anything and was perfectly happy waiting for 2 hours while it dried enough to finish. It ceneniut perfectly and he took the time to do it right. There was zero rushing going on and as we all know, if you rush a job, things get missed. I can’t say enough about Nestor. Use him if you have the option.
