Mr. Mike did an excellent job and was very reasonable priced. I requested help for washer and dryer hook ups and ended up getting him to fix various plumbing issues around the house. I will most certainly use him again for future issues.

He came to fix the tank guts in my master bedroom toilet and repair the water inflo pipe on my toilet. He was great and while sitting in my bedroom I could hear him ching-ga-linging away at fixing my toilet and he was prompt at it. I had another plumber tell me that it would be best for me to get a new toilet because I guess he was to lazy to take the time or know how to do what Dan did. I will definitely recommend and use him again if needed. It's like I have a new toilet now.

I was extremely happy with the work that Mr. Wilson at Dependable Handyman did. He was extremely quick with any questions that I had. I had to have a dryer cord that was 4 prong changed out to 3 prong cord. He showed up as scheduled and was very efficient and courteous. Will recommend & use this company again.

Moved to Dallas not knowing anybody to help me get settled. Hooked up the washer dryer and even went to get a part with no extra cost but the price of the part. Even helped me get my mattress up the stairs. Highly recommend using his services.

Christopher is a gem! He had the best price and came over right away to look at my dryer. He ordered the part for me at cost and was very affordable. He is very friendly and trustworthy and did a great job repairing my dryer. He even followed up a few days later to make sure everything was still working. Great find, Thumbtack!

Isaiah showed up exactly on time. Within a few minutes discovered the problem and I had a price that was fair. The dryer was fixed within thirty minutes. He also noticed later that my vent hose was incorrect but didn't have one on his truck. So he came back later that day with a new one and installed it no charge. Friendly people with excellent results. Recommended.

Courtney is incredible- professional, expedient and thorough. He communicated quickly and made a same day visit bc I was need of dryer repair. I had the same repair company service my 2 year old Electrolux dryer 3 times before and replace the heating element. Courtney identified my problem in ventilation and got into the attic and built an elbow in the duct work so it ventilates properly, also replaced the heating element. I HIGHLY recommend him. Emailed receipt. Excellent service.

My Whirlpool washing machine quit on me the other day, just up and quit at the beginning of the rinse cycle. I was so mad. I had to take my clothes to my sisters to and re-wash it. My sister told me to call up Fort Worth Appliance Repair. She and her husband use them all of the time. So I figured why not? They sent a technician out to my place the next day. He said that the fuse in the washing machine blew out, and he replaced it. Voila the washing machine is working again. When I got the bill, I was very impressed. My big Sister never steers me wrong. Thanks Sis, and thanks to the good people at Fort Worth Appliance Repair. I will be using this company again in the future.

the mechanic came out and tested my dryer for 30-45 minutes until he found out EXACTLY what was wrong with it. He then called and found out how much it would cost to fix it. He was very honest, never once tried to pull my leg over what it would cost to fix it. i would definitely use them again

Over the years I have used Mr. Tate for numerous jobs around my rent houses as well as my own house. He has been a true blessing for me as a resource to be able to call. He is the only person I will ever call for a/c & heating repair. He has repaired washer machines, dryers, dish washing machines, water heaters, installed dry wall, and painted several homes, numerous times for me. Excellent job every time.

CMC replaced a bearing in our dryer. The machine was making a lot of noise. The only issue was that they don't work on the weekend and we had to wait a few extra days to make an appointment. The tech fixed the problem once he was able to come out.

        Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does refrigerator repair cost?

Refrigerator repair generally costs a fraction of the price of a new fridge and shouldhave your appliance up and running again in no time. The problems your refrigerator is experiencing and the parts required to fix it will affect your repair costs. Where you live can affect labor rates, which will raise or lower your costs. Here are some examples of average costs:

        • Diagnostic fees: $50-$100. Repair pros often have a service call fee or diagnostic fee to account for their time traveling to your location with all their tools to assess the problem. If you choose to have them repair the fridge, most pros then credit this fee toward your repair cost.
        • Parts: $20-$500. A new compressor averages $200, an icemaker $300, and computerized components such as touch screens and control boards average $300 or more.
        • Basic repairs: $180-$400, including parts. This price range can include repairing the evaporator or fan motor.

        How long do fridges last?

Refrigerators can last 10 to 20 years, although the most common lifespan is about 13 years. If your fridge is acting up, consider its current age when deciding whether to invest in repairs or buy a new one. Common easy fixes include faulty thermostats, dirty coils and clogged drain lines. Thermostats and dirty coils can be generally be fixed for an average cost of $80-$100. Clogged drain lines, which usually cause leaks, can often be fixed for under $200.

More complex refrigeration repairs such as replacing a bad compressor or replenishing low refrigerant can cost more because of expensive parts and higher labor. A new compressor costs an average of $200, not including labor. If labor is an average of $75-$100 per hour, and the repair takes 3 hours, you’re looking at roughly $500. Consider the age and purchase cost of your fridge; investing $350 in a $600 fridge that is 8 years old may not be cost-effective.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
