Planting Seeds Tutoring is awesome! From their professionalism all the way down to the quality of tutors. I have two children who have struggled with math & reading and their confidence was very low. It's been 2 months and my children have improved their confidence & understanding of the subject. Also, they can't wait for the next tutoring session because they use a unique approach that best fits my children. I would highly recommend their services.
OMG! Arbor Tutors is the best tutoring company ever!!!!
Dave Dix is one of the most creative, smart and innovative people I know in the public relations market. Hes creative, tenacious and an out-of-the-box thinker. His linguistic skills are off the chart.
Adria is a great writing tutor, I have learned a lot from her in the last few weeks since I have started school. She knows what weaknesses I have in my writing and helped by giving me great writing tools to improve my writing. Adria is a very enthusiastic and a funny tutor. I never get bored during the hours she is tutoring me.
Nick Courtright worked with me on several poems. He helped me in a way that so far no other editor / writing coach / fellow writer has been able to do, and I am quite grateful for his intervention. He basically helped me cut through the bull shit, and get straight to the meat of my writing. He saw what I could not because I was so personally involved with my work. Nick came to every single one of our meetings knowing the poems better than I did, and worked with me on every single line, every single word. I tend to write long poems, and one of the poem we worked on was over thirty pages long when we started working on it. It is now a good ten pages shorter, and a much better poem. Great big thank you to Nick Courtright. He is an excellent writing coach, editor, and poet. I hope to work with him again in the future.
I had the honor of supervising Lisa Steffek when she worked as a writing consultant at the University of Texas Undergraduate Writing Center (UWC), the largest and busiest writing center in the country (with approximately 11,000 visits a year from writers across all disciplines). As Program Coordinator, I was responsible for the day-to-day running of the writing center, including the training and supervision of the consulting and administrative staff. Over the course of the time that she worked there, Lisa conducted 256 forty-five minute one-on-one writing consultations with UT undergraduates. She was a reliable and committed member of our staff, while at the same time impressively maintaining a high GPA and finishing the dissertation for her doctoral program. In addition to her exemplary job performance, she continually delighted me with her lively mind and rare perspective. Her piercing intelligence and sweet nature are a rare combination and set her apart as one of our finest writing consultants. Extremely highly recommended.
I started writing my first novel over a year ago based on my life experience working for the federal government. I had friends and family read it and was told it was good. I wanted to have an outside source read my work so I could see if what I wrote really made sense. Meaghan helped me develop my story into something better than what I had before. She gave great suggestions and was very flexible when it came to meeting up. I'll use her again for any of my writing needs.
Joyce served as the editor for my recent self-published book. She was affordable, very helpful, and accommodated my rushed time-line. She also offered quality advice based on her publishing experience. My only regret was that I did not have the time or money to have her review the manuscript a few more times to brush up on final errors and changes, but she worked quickly to help me meet my deadline. Next time! Good work, Joyce.
Debra was very helpful in helping my son start a creative writing assignment. She used creative techniques to help him map out his outline and be ready to start each paragraph.
Frank is an excellent tutor and mentor. I had the absolute pleasure of working with him at the San Antonio College Writing Center where he was an Academic Program Specialist and certified CRLA writing tutor. Working with Frank was great because he took his time and never got frustrated with me, even when I could not understand something for the first, second, or eighth time around. Frank was able to word and explain grammar, punctuation, and style to me in a simple way that empowered me to become a confident writer. He showed me how to convey my thoughts in the most clear, direct, and simplified way. As well as an amazing writing tutor, Frank was -- and still is -- a great friend and mentor. His conversations were always enriched with a witty and encouraging sense of humor. Outside of work, Frank was just as hilarious, yet he maintained a certain level of professionalism which made him a stand up guy. I am sure your experience working with him on your writing will be just as great and fruitful as it was with me and every other writer he empowered at the SAC Writing Center.
Emily tutored my 7th and 10th grade sons in reading comprehension and writing. She did an outstanding job, she was very patient with both boys, especially the 7th grader that hates to read. Their grades improved significantly. She started tutoring both boys together only once a week but we increased to twice a week, each of them individually for 90 minutes. If they had special assignments or reports to write, Emily made herself available to work with them above their regular tutoring sessions. She was always very professional and a joy to have around. She got to know the boys and worked with them based on their interests - she is an amazing tutor. I would highly recommend her.
Janelle helped my complete an essay for school. It was a really tough subject and I was having difficulty even starting it. I reached out for help when I was running out of time and Janelle came through. She was able to sit with me and explain the best way to outline my thoughts so the essay would be easy to write. I got an A on my paper, some great tips on how to write essays, AND now I have someone I can call in case I'm having trouble and its crunch time! Janelle was easy to talk to, easy to meet with, and hands down the best tutor I've had!!!

Thank you Heidi for the awesome job with my daughter! She truly enjoyed and looked forward to each session.
Mr Latimer is a great teacher! He tutored me from basic English class to SAT preparation. He is very responsible and patient. He helped me a lot with my reading and writing assignments even now I’m in college. He is very knowledgeable that he could tell you all about the wars and Shakespeare. Those topics might not sound interesting, but his sense of humor could make them fascinating!
