He responded to me immediately, and was always timely getting me material! As soon as I sent him the deposit, he immediately had instrumental music for my songs ready to go on the same day! He sent me multiple options of instrumentals, and was willing to help me with my vocals too! Highly recommend!

My band and I recently used Kevin and Lava Studios to record an EP. His prices are extremely affordable, and more than fair. Kevin's ear, and technical knowledge helped us achieve the sound we were hoping for. I've listened to the tracks he has on his website, and knowing how he did our record, I can tell you there isn't anything he can't do. From extensive producing to live take vintage feeling stuff that's more straight forward, he can do it all. Really though, everything boils down to his ear, it's amazing how quickly he can pick out which note was the sour one. He's an invaluable part to anyone young band trying to record the best record that they can. His demeanor in the studio is very professional, encouraging and helpful. He has a good understanding of people, and he listens. If your trying to find the perfect engineer/producer for a project, he's your man. Plain and simple.

My standard pricing is anywhere from $35-75 an hour depending on the scope and duration of the entire project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process working with a new customer involves several meetings to understand the overall goal and soundscape that the customer is trying to achieve. Then I break down the recording/production process into several steps for them, with quality checks along the way (rough mixes, pre-production notes, etc.) to make sure that the customer is happy with the sessions or progress. I always allow their voice to be heard and never try to always have them go with my ideas or opinions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Electrical Engineering Degree, and am also Six Sigma certified. This education has allowed me to be very methodical and solve problems quickly, which arise in studio environments quite often. It has also allowed me to manage time and client budgets as well.
