"Johana’s passion is teaching and sharing knowledge with others, especially if it will benefit others through inner and outer growth. She practiced belly dancing, and in belly dancing, the instructor would incorporate yoga postures into the movements which helped heal her carpal tunnel. Later through the years, she immersed herself into yoga practice in the year 2014. This helps to calm as they say, “the monkey mind.” Johana began to have a passion for yoga which she noticed that yoga has helped her in so many ways that she decided to teach, so she can share yoga to the community. In May 2017, Johana received her official 200 HR certification from Ester Vexler Yoga School in San Antonio TX. Johana is also certified in her 300-hour Adaptive Yoga through Mel Marie and is certified in Trauma sensitive yoga through the Grace Tree Foundation.
Johana leads individuals and groups into the exploration of mindful movement, meditation, and in-play by the embodiment of the movement as healing empowerment of growth with playful authenticity. Johana assists her students in the discovery of different ways of being a relationship to their own experiences.
Yoga has helped her understand the meaning of the mind, body, and spirit connections. She quickly realized her former skills as an educator and shifted into fun-loving creativity as a Yoga instructor. Johana encourages her students to stay open with curiosity as well as self-discovery in their practice. Johana also brings intuitiveness, adaptability, playfulness, and joy to her yoga practice.
