Marti has been great. I have a complex manuscript. My writing style can be too bureaucratic, a result perhaps of too many years in the Australian Public Service. Marti understood clearly what type of revisions I needed. She did the work effectively and expeditiously. Marti has been the best I have used so far. Others I have used have done little more than run a spell checker through my manuscript. Marti was able to advise ways to improve the flow and logic of my arguments. Of course Marti also picked up on the smaller points too. Highly recommended. James Lindsay
Petrena and I just started working together in 2016. So far so good. Her organization and approach will be a key asset to this adventure of writing a book. Her experience with previous publishing was a key facet in my decision. I am looking forward to the ride.
I am a published author, but this project was my first dive into self publishing. Sally was instrumental from the quality of editing the manuscript, to the guidance and nudging in self-publishing. I just completed my first self-publishing manuscript. Sally is definitely going to be on my team for my next publishing projects.
Vincent is the most professional writing editor I have ever seen. I went through quite a few writing editors before I met Vincent, and I have to say that the detailed service Vincent provides obviously tops. Vincent is also very fast, and always keep the work down before deadline. I highly recommend.
Nick Courtright is a name you should know as a tutor, consultant, editor and supporter. I have a "long poem" that needed someone to help me get my arms around it, and Nick did, by understanding and taking the big picture view. Upon completing it I have returned to Nick for guidance as to self-publishing or submitting to publishers. He is knowledgeable, to say nothing of the important attributes of being an excellent poet, articulate, scholarly. I plan to have Nick's help in assembling poems to submit for publication, for editing, selecting and market analysis. He knows more than I do, and I benefit from that. Bill
Brendan worked with me on a book project. He was a great sounding board for flow and voice in addition to being an excellent fine editor. His newspaper background gives him a keen eye for audience and clear and efficient expression of ideas. I found him to be easy to work with and very responsive to my needs. I highly recommend Brendan.
I have known Karen since her first days—literally—as an editorial assistant at Houghton Mifflin, and I have followed her career ever since. She is one of the most careful, honest, and dedicated editors I have ever known, and a terrific person to work with. If you're looking for a very high level of experience and quality, look no further. Trust Karen to give you her absolute best.
Morgan is excellent! She's helped me edit a number of essays, and has a great eye for organization and coherence. She also returned notes to me in a very timely manner. She's a pleasure to work with, and far more concise in her feedback than other editors I've encountered. Additionally, Morgan's social media abilities are exemplary, and something I plan to take advantage of in the nearby future.
I've been using Erin to edit my novels since early 2013. I've had two previous editors who were very capable, but Erin's skills are off the chart. She is easy to work with and handles each new job quickly. She has edited four of my novels and will edit many more...as long as I write them.
An amazing editor. Not only shfixed all the Grammer issues I had in my cover letter, but she took a look at my resume and helped me write about skills I had on the resume but did not show in my cover letter. I will definitely be coming back to her again for any editing I will need in the future.
I hired David to be the editor of my first book, Babies Can Smell Fear. I wanted someone to take my work and make it better without changing my vision. I wanted someone to tell me what did not work in a way to keep confidence high while making the project the best it could be. David accomplished all of that and more. Since I was working on my first book I will admit I did not know fully what to expect or what to do. David walked me through the process and went above and beyond what I asked him to do. He set me up with a design team, helped develop the title and sub title for the book, and answered all of my questions even if they did not fully correspond with his job description. I was very pleased with the final product and so were the Mom's Choice Award judges who awarded my book a Gold level award for Parenting Humor. I know that would not have been possible without David. I highly recommend working with David. He even came to the launch party to celebrate the release of the book.
When I first started looking for an editor I was worried about hiring someone who would take my work serious and handle short deadlines. I am so thankful to have found Adolfo. All the work he has done for me has been excellent and exactly what I wanted. He never once complained about the short deadlines and I can count on his editing work improving my writing. Very impressed with him!

I'm a very exacting editor. I pay attention to all the usual things -- spelling, grammar, punctuation, tense, consistency, facts -- and also check formatting and images. Being a graphic designer as well as a writer and editor helps me make sure a document is not just correct, but also "looks" right.
More than 30 years of corporate experience in writing, editing, proofing, creative concept and marketing ideas.
In my editing I am very adept at scanning a page of text and finding the things that don't fit (mistakes, typos, flow issues). I am also very passionate about working with writers to use the text they have created in order to achieve the best possible end result. As a writer, I use my love of language, my keen observational skills as an artist and art historian, and my wry sense of humor to convey my personality and get a message across.
