What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When giving you a price this is what goes into it:
* miles from where Dash Notary is
* how many signers
* how many signatures on docs
* do you need copies
and depending upon type of document, other questions come up.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
It is not required but yes always am in some form of class every other month. Right now working on finishing Apostles -- which in layman terms means out of the US signing.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My friend Wendy Mills has been a mobile notary in NV for a few years. We were talking one day about me getting out of real estate after 11 years and getting into something that I could balance life and work more. The rest as they say is history!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Defensive Driving, Refinances , School travel releases, Birth certificate requests in various states, Divorce settlements where guardianship has transferred or past moneys due, vehicle sales, Loan Modifications from taxes for example, debt settlement
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Had a auto signing that took me 3 weeks to close because of complications with the car dealership. Acted as a go between and kept 7 folks aware of what was going on during this 3 week period -- some folks might not know this but a notary is not required to do any of this -- the car was bought for the son but the dealership was giving the dad problems over the financing. Maverick Signings was my signing company and the partner in the company sent me a personal thank you letter via email for helping keep the deal together.
