Luke was a true pro. Our meal was absolutely delicious and unique, but more than that, Luke made the experience stress free and enjoyable. He is there to talk and give cooking tips if your event is a bit more private, or he will vanish to the kitchen to cook up a storm while the guests chat. We had a larger party but my wife and I plan to use Luke again for a date night at home or a cooking class. Before the event, Luke and I spoke about the type of food we would have and lets just say, his repertoire is vast. You name it, he can cook it. I cannot recommend LK Culinary enough. The experience was easy and the food was amazing.

Katie cooked for our family during a summer vacation. She prepared our delicious lunches and dinners each day so that we could relax and enjoy each others company. She had the daunting task of cooking for 17 people twice a day. The meals were unique, and flavorful. She was so pleasant, friendly, clean, and timely. We all truly enjoyed the variety of wonderful homemade meals Katie prepared!

The cooking class was so engaging and fun. I was chopping and cooking veggies that I've never tried before. Dianne gave me great direction and she was so helping and welcoming. Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do private cooking lessons cost?

You can take private cooking classes to have fun, to learn a new skill, to improve your health, to bond with your partner, to enjoy a playful first date or to have a unique birthday party experience. Nationally the average cost of private cooking lessons ranges between $100 and $150. Prices can vary, depending on where you live, the type of cooking class you’re taking, the ingredients the chef provides, and the reputation of the chef. Cooking classes with Anthony Bourdain will clearly cost more than classes with a local restaurant owner. The number of people in the class will also affect the cost, with group lessons often priced per person to account for the cost of ingredients. For example, for group lessons, a brunch workshop may cost an average of $70 per person, a steak dinner with sides could cost an average of $80-$85 per person, and a sushi lesson could cost an average of $100 per person. Ingredients play a major role in cost, as the chef will pre-purchase the food you will be working with. Weekday classes will usually cost less than weekend classes.
