We used Mr. Vincent over last Summer because our son was being held back in first grade for an inadequate reading level. Mr. Vincent related very well to our son and used both books and the computer to get his reading level up. As the end of the school year is nearing, our son is at the top of his class and reading above level!

In my high school teaching and counseling experiences I have often been asked to refer students and their parents to tutors and proofreading services. I have found Rachael with Crow Tutoring DFW to be a good fit for these services. She is very knowledgeable and encouraging and her organizational skills are exceptional. Rachael is extremely computer literate as well. Nancy Hodges Arlington

I went to Sarah for help with my personal statement for graduate school applications. She was so knowledgable, kind, and helpful! A personal statement, as the name says, is a very personal thing to write, and she made me feel at ease with sharing about myself throughout the essay. I loved working with her so much, I kept going back twice a week until we thought it was good enough. I got into graduate school, and she's partially to thank for it!

I have worked with Ami for over two years and have had the privilege of learning about professional editing from observing her work. Ami is a perfectionist. She is always diligent to go the extra mile in ensuring that documents are polished and ready. If she ever has a question about whether an edit will change the meaning of a sentence, she will leave a comment without making any changes. She has a wide range of experience with professional documents (e.g., cover letters, résumés, professional correspondence). She also has experience with personal, scientific, academic, and technical writing. Her unique credentials as a content specialist have given her experience with a wide range of editing projects from internal manuals, blogs, articles, and medical, corporate, and academic reports. In addition to her work being high quality, Ami is also excellent at listening and understanding what clients need. Even if clients don't always know exactly what they're looking for, Ami has enough experience to know clients' specific needs. She is careful to limit her scope of work to only what clients request. If Ami sees opportunities for improving a document beyond what was originally requested, Ami will communicate to the client before doing anything beyond the scope of work. Finally, Ami is incredibly efficient. Her system of estimating time required to complete the work allows her to give clients accurate turnaround deadlines. Even with challenging projects, Ami is diligent to meet her clients' expectations. In all her work, Ami is a kind and considerate colleague who takes pride in her clients' documents. Anyone seeking a professional editor should first ask Ami.

We would highly recommend Ms. McIntosh for private tutoring and enrichment! She has been working with our 9 yr-old son, and he loves her and we do too. Our son does great in school, but we wanted to give him some one-on-one time with writing. Now he is transitioning to enrichment in other subjects with really fun projects (book club, science projects, writing letters, math concepts...). In looking for resources to provide our son with the extra challenge he needs, we found there are not many options outside of the chains that provide basic tutoring or help with homework, which is not what our son needs. We wanted to give him more enrichment outside of class and cover many areas, rather than one kind of enrichment class at a time. Ms. McIntosh developed a plan just for our son. Ms. McIntosh used to be one of his teachers, and we loved her then too!

Ann Mitchell has an amazing ability to look at a piece of writing and help a writer improve it. She understands the impact an elegant sentence can have, and her understanding of sentence structure helps students so much! Highly recommend! Amazing writing tutor.

      About

I've been teaching and tutoring varying and various subjects for well over a decade. My Reading and Writing students routinely perform at grade levels at least four to five years above their expected placement and often well above that. I also work with students every year to take part in their school spelling bees on every level. My baccalaureate degrees are in Chemistry, Microbiology, Physics, and Voice Performance, so while I have more actual student tutoring hours in the liberal arts (I also worked for many years at UTA's Writing Center as a tutor), I have also spent many hours tutoring fellow students in nearly every science (save geology, perhaps) at every level, collegiate to elementary school. I can teach the fundamentals of piano, everything but the most complicated music theory and ear training, most percussion instruments and some flute.
