We planned the lesson, didn't show up, messaged me afterwards saying the class couldn't happen today with no explanation whatsoever.
I have taken piano lessons from Matthew Weissman for about a year and a half. I went back to piano lessons as an adult to improve upon my technique, learn new music, and have something fun to do in my spare time. Since that time my piano playing skills and technique have improved immensely. I have learned more efficient and successful ways to practice and I have learned a wide variety of music. Matthew is knowledgeable, patient, and an incredible pianist. I would recommend him to any student ranging from beginner to advanced.
Jasmin is an excellent teacher! She is very thorough and makes it fun for my kids. Jasmin is very easy to talk to and is willing to work around schedules. I recommend people of all ages to learn how to play piano from her. My kids look forward to their once a week lesson because Jasmin has so much patience and always provide feedback on how they are progressing. Thanks Jasmin!
Tong is adorable and very knowledgeable about her profession! I’m 25 and decided to start learning the piano, she made me feel very comfortable about that and was very willing to answer all of my questions. I would definitely recommend her.
Holly is an amazing piano teacher and we are lucky to have found her. My young daughter has been taking lessons from Holly for almost a year and has come so far, and has learned so much! Holly is very patient, caring and understands her craft well ,but most importantly understands how to teach others. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn piano at any level.
Bennie is great! Super fun to be around! Going into singing lessons I was worried, didn't want to feel like I was being judged even though that's the reason I'm there. But he didn't make me feel that way at all! It was easy going and has been a blast!
I took piano classes all my life but never enjoyed it like I do with Libby as my piano teacher. I know I slack a lot but she doesn't know that she has always made me feel differently towards music (in a good way) and gets me to the point where I want to cry because the feeling I get in my chest is so intense. She helped me find a huge part of myself even though, I'm still not even close to being a professional pianist. I love the way she teaches and the way she makes me feel while learning. I hope she realizes when I thank her like 3048294 times while leaving I really mean them. Thanks for being such a great inspiration to me Libby even if it doesn't seem like it. You are the bestestestetstetest. (Sorry this was so cheesy)
Averi is highly skilled at the piano and I am excited to keep taking lessons from her.
Kevin is a first class musician who knows his trade and craft well, he is patient, encouraging, and methodically presents the lessons so I learn not only how to play guitar but the music theory behind as well. Too bad I had to leave Utah to return home after a few months of contract work otherwise I am sure I will continue to take lessons from this talented young man.
Linda is the best! She is very kind and patient, and yet still maintains a high expectation for her students. If you are looking for a piano experience that will really amount to something, choose Linda.
Mandy is a great pianist and a fun and professional teacher. I would highly recommend Mandy as a piano teacher for the kids. Not only they will get to improve as a pianist but they will grow to become a competent musician.
Laura teaches piano because she loves music. I wanted a teacher that could inspire a life-long love of music through skills and through theory. Laura inspires my 2 children; they want to play the songs assigned; they love coming to lessons. Making music and playing the piano should be a joy--Laura Frances shares joy of music as she teaches. Thank you, Laura! Pam Ginn and family
All 4 of my kids have taken piano lessons from Kristin. She is fabulous! She is a dedicated teacher that cares about each of her students and their progress. She expects a lot of of her students, which I appreciate as a parent. I would highly recommend Kristin!
Stacey has done a really good job with piano lessons for my two grandsons. I have been to each lesson and observed what's going on. She gets them excited and makes them feel great that they are learning and progressing they've done great things since they started doing lessons with Stacy. Her rates are very reasonable. She's very professional. She makes them feel great. I highly recommend her
When my teenage boys wanted to stop taking piano lessons a few years ago, I decided that I wanted to try a different approach to lessons to see if I could keep them interested in learning. I heard about Treyan Porter and approached him about taking on my sons. My boys were willing to give his teaching method a try and it has turned out to be an excellent experience for them. They are excited to attend their lessons and they enjoy composing their own arrangements and songs. They both play in their high school jazz band and Treyan helps them with their jazz pieces at their lessons as well. My daughter was really struggling with learning piano under that traditional method, so I changed her teacher to Treyan. He was so positive with her and she started enjoying lessons and actually progressed in her learning. I am so glad that my children are taking piano lessons from Treyan Porter.
I knew Jennifer before I started taking voice lessons from her. Although I know several other voice instructors, when I decided to take lessons, I deliberately sought her out over the others because I knew she'd give me instruction that I couldn't get from several of the others. Jennifer knows many different styles of music and can provide instruction in each style, as well as teaching ways that those styles can cross-pollinate with one another. In the first three weeks, I had already noticed a dramatic improvement in my singing. I, of course, still have a lot to learn, but it was heartening to see improvement so quickly. Jennifer has a great enthusiasm for teaching music and I always leave my lessons with a smile on my face because she makes singing fun and exciting.
I have been playing the violin for 20 years. Beginning at age 5, I studied private lessons with a variety of accomplished violinists including Richard Ferguson, Diane (Worley) Austin, Ted Ashton, Jean Tweet, and received private instruction from Julliard graduate Eric Grossman while attending a young adult strings camp. I received a music scholarship from BYU-Idaho my first year and was accepted into their Music Performance program, where I participated in music theory class, private lessons, master classes, chamber music quartets, and performed in the Symphony Orchestra (directed by Robert Tueller). I stayed involved in music by performing regularly with the Rexburg Tabernacle Community Orchestra (directed by LaMar Barrus and Kevin Call), teaching private violin lessons, continuing to take private lessons with Richard Ferguson, and performing on several occasions in local and state level pageants.
Lessons are tailored to the student's goals, including custom proportions of technique, song learning, and music theory. I can show you the way toward being an accomplished musician - whether you want to be in a band or just play for fun. I believe playing music is one of the most rewarding things a person can do. I am just recently getting my Thumbtack profile together, so more is to come. I have many years of experience playing and teaching. I have a great deal of success in getting students "unstuck" from their current level where they plateaued for a long time. For beginners, I can help you avoid long periods of being stuck from the git-go. I am a very patient teacher. I strive to find the balance between keeping it fun and doable, and at the same time providing encouragement for the challenge, at whatever rate each individual student can handle and likes. If you have goals for the guitar, I bet we can get there!
I teach piano performance, technique, and theory, from primer level to advanced students. I do like my students to have basic reading skills as it makes learning to read music easier.
At the Piano Player Studio, I help students discover their love of music. Music is so much more than technique and practice. At the Piano Player Studio, we explore all types of music so that our students learn to love to play.
I can tutor for different subjects. I have been tutoring Chinese and martial arts for about three years, and I have lots of experience in doing so.
