FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I love learning and staying current on the latest developments in Alignment Yoga as well as in the general yoga community. I attended a course on Ayurveda in May 2015 which has inspired me to incorporate the "sister science of yoga" into my classes and private sessions and pursue additional training.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I first thought about teaching when I started attending corporate yoga classes at my place of employment. After 12 years of doing secretarial/administrative/office management work, I was inspired to pursue teacher training when I discovered Alignment Yoga while living for one year in Madison, Wisconsin. My experiences over the course of my 200-hour and 500-hour teacher trainings have catalyzed a beautiful transformation, and the benefits have continued to ripple out as I share the insights of Alignment Yoga with family, friends, students, and communities where I live.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
A typical private session starts with an intake to discuss history, injuries/problems, and/or questions. Then I come up with three to five exercises/poses that I feel are most supportive of whatever is going on or to work toward a desired outcome. I go over each of the exercises/poses and answer any questions.
