Heather Hardy Piano Studio
Introduction: I teach group piano lessons to young beginners. Classes are from 6-8 students at a time, and parents are required to attend each week with their child. The lessons, are fun, engaging, and challenging, with specific homework to complete every day before the next lesson. The progress of the students is incredible and the parents enjoy it too!
I love the relationship of teacher and student. I feel like some of my greatest mentors in my life have been my piano teachers, and I want to have the same kind of positive influence on those around me. Music is a powerful vehicle for fostering good relationships, because music can unite and lift people who are seemingly very different.

In Mighty Musicians and Keyboard Kids group classes, my sons acquired foundational training in beginning music theory, solfege, note-reading, intervals, ear training, sight-reading, rhythm, and more; but from their perspective, they were merely playing! The quick-paced classes, the delightful variety of instruments and teaching methods, the engaging music, and the immaculately organized class materials and practice instructions paved a clear path to my sons' success. Attending classes with my children and especially practicing with them at home required a significant sacrifice for me; but the returns on my investment have exceeded my every expectation. Heather herself is a dynamic teacher who makes eye-contact, captures students' attention, explains concepts clearly, and carries out-of-this world credentials. Though instructing a group, she establishes relationship with individuals. She is simultaneously inspiring and understanding, compassionate with inevitable weakness but cognizant of potential. She holds students to exacting standards but celebrates every incremental success on their journey to achievement. I tell all of my friends that her studio represents the best music education money can buy.

Heather's personality & teaching methods are totally POSITIVE! She builds her students' confidence with her encouagement & attitude of "we can do hard things." Heather is professional beyond her years. She offers Master Classes that give her students opportunities to perform often & learn how to critic their own improvement. I highly recommend Heather as a piano teacher & life's skills mentor.

We have been so impressed with Heather, both as a person and as a teacher. She is happy, kind, and a delight to be with. My daughter looks forward to piano lessons every week and enjoys practicing almost every day. Heather does a great job teaching new concepts and providing clear expectations. Heather is punctual, reliable and on the ball. She has a positive personality and fun, yet effective, teaching style. My children (and I) think she's the greatest. She expects a fair amount from them (but not too much) and they have progressed very quickly. My son wasn't even interested in learning to play the piano when he started 5 months ago. Now he plays for fun all the time, and is so glad I made him take lessons.
