Hector and team did a fantastic job, communicated effectively, were kind and courteous to our small children throughout their time in the house and provided a fantastic finished product. We are thrilled with the remodel -- a bedroom, egress, new hvac, new ductwork, bathroom. Highly recommend.

Hector from Fairfax Build and Design is the best contractor I've ever worked with. He over saw the down to studs remodel of our 3 story, 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath 100 year old row house including new electrical, updated plumbing, new HVAC, and a new kitchen, and came in on time and at budget. He was a great resource for my wife and I determining what we should spend a few extra dollars on materials-wise and where the value for our money just wasn't there. He was always prepared for our weekly meetings and anytime I had a question or concern he was super easy to get in touch with and his explanations were thorough and accurate. I'm used to dealing with contractors and can speak the language somewhat, but my wife is not and Hector always made sure she understood what was going on and comfortable with the path forward. We love our house and are recommending Fairfax Build and Design to all our friends.

My friend from the country club recommended Hector and his team after I expressed that it was time to renovate my basement including a rec room, full bathroom, wet bar and a bedroom. We were very impressed with Hectors PRODUCT and DESIGN knowledge "he ended designing our basement including my wet bar" Hector is a true craftsman and professional. Most importantly for a family with a special needs children, I can't thank Hector enough for their ability to keep dust and debris out of the rest of the house. I would not hesitate to recommend Hector and his services.

Hector's team did great work ahead of schedule but what I appreciated more were his project management skills. He made this renovation process so much easier than I thought it would be. 1. He listened well (one of the reasons I chose him over other good contractors that gave me a quote). 2. Pleasure to speak with. working with my vision but letting me know if he didn't agree. 3. Gave me options for design pieces which made it a lot easier. 4. When I changed orders he was flexible and understanding. 5. Gave a realistic price and stayed on budget and let me know upfront in the quote of one risk in particular that may cost me much more so I budgeted for contingency. 6. Didn't nickel and dime whenever there was a non major change or pick up. Highly recommend.
