- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a discovery call where I learn about your space, your vision, and how you actually live in your home. I want to understand what's working, what's driving you crazy, and what you're hoping to create. This conversation helps me gauge scope, budget, and whether we're a good fit. Next I'll visit your space (or do a detailed virtual walkthrough) to get a feel for the layout, lighting, and potential. From there, I develop a design concept that reflects our conversation—mood boards, space planning, and initial product selections. The process is collaborative throughout. You're involved in every major decision, but I handle the logistics: sourcing, vendor coordination, ordering, delivery tracking, and installation oversight. My goal is to make this easy for you while ensuring the end result is a space you genuinely love living in. Timeline and deliverables vary by project scope, but I'm transparent about what to expect from day one.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I learned what 'home' really means by having to create it over and over again. Growing up in a military family meant a new address every year. Each move brought another set of blank walls that felt temporary and impersonal. But I learned something in those transitions: the right design choices could turn any space into somewhere that actually felt like home. That's what drives my work now. Good design isn't just about aesthetics—it's about creating spaces that support how you live and make you feel at ease the moment you walk through the door. I started Keller Collective Interiors after years of helping friends and family transform their homes. What began as informal projects turned into something I couldn't ignore: I'm good at this, and I genuinely love doing it. Now I call Alexandria home with my partner and our two dogs—which means I understand firsthand that beautiful design has to withstand real life. Muddy paws, unexpected guests, the couch that doubles as a nap spot for both humans and pets—your space needs to work as hard as it looks good. I design with that balance in mind, because the best homes are the ones you can actually live in.
