I love Liz's yoga classes. She is a wonderful instructor - very friendly and knowledgeable! Her classes are a workout.
My constant lower back and hip pain were making me miserable. Adrian's gentle, therapeutic yoga has done a world of good for those problems. Adrian focuses on those type of difficulties. I am more than happy to report that I not only feel much less pain, but it has attributed to me being more active overall. Adrian is professional as well as attuned to her client's individual needs. I look forward to her class.
My company hired Robin to conduct a corporate yoga session during a company recruiting event. She is wonderful to work with, and I highly recommend her services!
Took several one-on-one yoga classes with Kristin, it was overall a great experience. After taking yoga with her I was interested in continuing to improve my fitness level and started doing circuit training with her as well. This was super helpful for my weight loss goals and toning goals. I still attend session twice a week and cannot stand to miss a session!
I have a passion to help others succeed and feel better. That's why my work stands out!
My teaching/practice draws from the Ashtanga and Vinyasa Krama lineages (both originating from Tirumalai Krishnamacharya) as well as gymnastics and body weight training. I love arm balances and am currently working on the third series of Ashtanga. I've never been an "athletic person" (or for most of my youth, even a healthy person), so I'm interested in bringing yoga to those from similar straits. I have been practicing for the past eight or so years and have had the privilege of studying with David Swenson, Richard Freeman, David Garrigues, Mark Freeth, Max Strom, Andrew Eppler as well as all the fabulous instructors at ACAC. I currently teach at ACAC in downtown Charlottesville and am available for private instruction as well.
The Center is Harrisonburgs first dedicated yoga and Pilates studio. In our welcoming atmosphere, students are encouraged to reach new levels of strength, flexibility and relaxation, stemming from their centers. We believe that students can step into their classes feeling encouraged, safe and challenged, so that they can begin to realize their full potential, both in class and out. A regular yoga, Pilates and/or Nia practice can truly be part of a journey to good physical, mental and spiritual health as students joyfully move from the inside out.

I have been teaching yoga since 1990, and I really enjoy teaching in small groups where I can provide individual attention and help with particular issues a student might have. I very familiar with restorative yoga as taught by Judith Lasater and I've also been certified as a Yoga for Scoliosis teacher by Elise Miller Browning.
I teach mostly vinyasa, ashtanga, and yin. Also, I practice Thai yoga massage. I have been practicing yoga for more than 40 years, and I can adapt the practice to any age group. I like personal one to one or small groups.
