Our boys are really enjoying their guitar and drum lessons so far, and are excited about practicing and playing their new instruments.
I have taken over a years worth of guitar lessons from American Music Studio and will continue taking lessons into the future. Brett in co. cater lessons to your skill level and learning style, encouraging you to push the limits and learn more. The instructors are approachable, motivational, personable and experts in their craft. I cannot express how educational and enlightening my experience with American Music Studio has been.
We just started lessons with Ms Wanlu. My daughter’s first class was incredible in my opinion. She tapped into things that no other instructor ever did. She is clearly a young and talented instructor. We are excited about our future lessons!
Keith is a drummers, drummer. Aside from being an exceptional drum instructor, he has LOADS of touring experience, professionally recorded, numerous workings with "Big Names" in the music industry, and not to mention the grammy's are quite impressive :-) Keith not only taught me how to read drum music, but he encouraged me relentlessly when it sometimes became challenging, as things worth while often are. He explained the ever important role of 'time management' in music and how it not only affects music, but also that it affects every aspect of our lives. Keith has been a mentor and also a friend. As a person with my own successes in the industry, I have found a profound inspiration from Keith. I cherish our 30 min together and wouldn't trade them for anything. I highly recommend Keith as a drum teacher for ALL ages.
I have always wanted to learn to play the bongos but I was super nervous! Peter was so welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. He instructed me on a couple of instruments which was really fun! Also, he has been so helpful in helping me find my own drum! I look forward to more lessons with Peter!
My son has been taking drum lessons with Jason for almost a year- he is a wonderful, patient teacher. He looks for unique ways to connect with his students and keep them engaged- for example, my 6yo son loves Michael Jackson, so that’s been incorporated in. He also loves songs by Muse, and Jason has creatively woven that into beat/timing lessons. I can not recommend Jason enough to anyone looking to learn drums.
AJ Victoria is probably the best drummer I have ever worked with, and he is very patient in explaining the things that need to be said.
Kevin has been awesome. Right from hour one, he had me advancing my skill level at drumming. Not sure who was more enthusiastic, me or him! Fabulous teacher, good guy, and a talented musician.
I am over 30 years old and went to Miles with zero musical knowledge let alone any experience playing the drums. Miles reaches that perfect balance of being patient and pushing me to learn more. He has introduced information to me at a rate that is appropriate and takes the time to work through the musical concepts with me. At the same time he knows when to push forward with more challenging aspects of playing the drums to get the most out of our lessons. Miles is clearly very knowledgeable and talented and I recommend him highly if you are looking for drum lessons.
Our son (now 8) has been taking lessons with the studio for about 2 years now. The teachers are great, share their love of music, make the lessons fun and serious all at the same time.
Frankey has been the drummer for our church over the last seven years. He has matured into a very gifted drummer. He is reliable, conscientious, professional, and a great musician.

I am proficient in the warmups, techniques, music reading and writing, am open to teaching methods and the discipline of the drum line standard. I also have previous experience with teaching in the South Lakes High School percussion and drum line for two summers after graduation of high school. I am proficient in all main percussion instruments, including the snare drum (orchestral and rudimental/drum corps), the mallet keyboard, the timpani, and the drum set as well as auxiliary instruments, such as the tambourine, the triangle, the shakers, the hand drums, the djembe, and many more. I focus on limb independence, musical expression, style understanding, ability to play and adjust with other musicians, tone quality, polyrhythms, rudimentary use on the drum set, versatility and popular repertoire for the drum set. Importance of Music I believe that music is a primary necessity in everyone's everyday lives and by studying music through instruments, we learn not only about these instruments but also about ourselves and how our musical personas play a roll in each individual's life. Percussion is as primal as an instrument gets. It dates to prehistoric times with ancient drums and the basic ability to keep a pulse. It is an instinct felt in all our lives through our heartbeat, yet it is a special craft that takes all life to perfection and creates unbelievable moments of joy and passion through music.
The curriculum that I use doesn't discourage the learner, but encourages the learner.
