Guarav Singh of Going Yogue is a phenomenal yoga instructor. I started practicing yoga regularly in 2003 and got certified to teach in 2004. Guarav is one of the best yoga instructors I've had. He does an excellent job of integrating the breathe into yoga postures and emphasizes only going as far as the breath and body allow. The practice was invigorating and rejuvenating with modifications based on my limitations. I am excited to continue learning from and deepening my yoga practice with Guarav.
Mark Goldfarb has been my trainer since 1999 and Ive probably been with him the longest of his clients. He is professional in our relationship but also a very caring person. He has researched ways to help train me when I have had an injury or surgery. He has much patience and a way of pushing me when Im not motivated. He is responsive when I have told him that I am unusually sore after a session, adjusting the weights accordingly, and usually spending more time on that muscle. I have sworn that I will never be able to do a certain thing he wants me to do and slowly but surely, I will get there. I like the fact that he uses lots of different approaches to training the same muscle group. It is not only a good way of doing it, but it keeps the workouts from getting boring. Besides the weight machines , he uses bands, bosu balls, straps, discs and a variety of other resources to train. Not only is he interested in building my strength, but increasing my flexibility and balance. In addition, he is a certified yoga instructor and includes many yoga positions in my workouts. This has definitely increased my flexibility. In short, I would highly recommend him as a personal trainer.
Gretchen is my yoga instructor who comes to the house. She comes once a week for an hour, and the sessions are on-going. I engaged Gretchen when my sciatica was at its worst, and I couldn't put on my socks. She has helped amazingly well with increasing my mobility. The best aspect is her flexibilty in schedule and knowledge to tailor the session to my current health situation. I cannot think of anything Gretch could improve. She already provides the yoga equipment I don't have and already is knowledgable how yoga can help (or willing to research if she does not know). I considert Gretchen to be an excellent teacher and an excellent resource for anyone who wants or needs at home yoga instruction.
Nastasha is an exceptional Yoga instructor. She taught a few yoga classes for my company and the feedback was excellent. I look forward to continuing to work with Nastasha.
Welcome to your Wellness has an excellent atmosphere. As a beginner you will not feel intimidated at all. The instructor is very friendly has a very nourishing attitude. Cassy's Yoga class is amazing. The energy in her classes are so peaceful and accepting. I recently just started doing yoga about 6 months ago, and have attended quite a few classes from other schools and instructors; but none comes close to the experiece i got from Cassy's classes. For first time i felt ok with being a beginner in yoga, she provides such a non judgmental space which for me is important. Also the one to one attention you get from her and the other instructor is so helpful !! ohh and the playlist of music in her classes are mind blowing !! for me it put me in such a tranquil state. I highly recommend everyone to try her yoga experience!
Mariela is a very skilled yoga teacher for children. She sets a positive tone for the class, introduces new poses and concepts in a very child-friendly way, and is very organized. She would be a great teacher for any child or family yoga class!
Need to do yoga here again as soon as possible. Megan Ahn is a great yoga instructor!

I always loved taking group classes with Tiffany, so when I had the chance to do some individual sessions with her, I didn't hesitate. Tiffany is a very knowledgeable instructor and has a gentle and creative approach with students. As a yoga instructor myself, I found it super valuable to learn from such an experienced teacher and especially appreciated her anatomical knowledge and her eye for the subtle shifts in my body in each pose. After each session, I walked away with a new nugget of knowledge. Tiffany balances the technical aspects of both the physical and mental practice of yoga in her teaching. Plus, she's super fun! I would highly recommend setting up a session or series of sessions with Tiffany if you get the chance. You won't regret it!
I met Gretchen when I was starting my second trimester with a twin pregnancy this past spring. My husband thought private pre-natal yoga sessions would be a perfect way to keep me healthy throughout my pregnancy. Gretchen was amazing to work with! She was friendly, energetic, and had a calming nature. I expected to take 1 session a week with her, but decided to engage in two weekly sessions. I honestly believe that Gretchen is the reason my pregnancy and delivery went so well. After my C-section the doctors told me they had never met a twin mom that was so flexible right after delivery. Gretchen is the reason for that. She not only taught me yoga, she provided mini-massages to help relax my pregnancy aches. She checked in on me regularly if we didn't meet, and she was willing to work with my schedule. She brought the music, equipment, and even recommended better mats to help my practice. I would recommend her to anyone looking for yoga instruction. I will soon be starting post-natal services with her!
I've been doing yoga on and off for the last 15 years and Kate is one of my favorite instructors in DC. I've been taking classes with her since she started her instruction at CorePower. She has a great energy, which makes even the most challenging of classes fun. The way a class or flow sequence is queued is important to me and Kate's instruction is easy to follow. I've been in classes that have a mix of skill levels and she makes an effort to be sure that everyone gets the most from their respective practice. I also like that she's really committed to her own practice and advancement as a yogi and an instructor. Great, great yoga instructor!
No one is more attentive than Lynne. In a full class, she can make you feel like you are in a private session. She delivers a great workout and really helps you stay in touch with why you showed up in the first place!
Valerie is great at tailoring her private yoga lessons to your needs. She goes out of her way to help identify my body's problem areas and work them out, and I feel SO much better (body and mind) on weeks when I make sure to get my session with her in. As well as creating an experience really good for what I need, she's professional and fun to work with. I really enjoy my sessions with her.
In her class, Grace, provides the perfect environment to experience the healing effects of understanding and knowing your body and its energy. She is knowledgable and readily shares her insights and experiences to benefit everyone in the class. I would go to her class everyday, if I could.
Anita is an extremely experienced instructor. She showed my lots of things I didn't know about body problems and ways to help them. Her regular classes are fun & interesting and her personal sessions are excellent.
