From my experience with Werter, he is a blunt, honest, and hardworking person. The repairman you need. He's basically been around the whole computer profession for countless years, and he loves doing it, which can reassure you you're making the right hire. He also loves teaching, so he can provide you information that you really should know. Every day is a good day to learn. I contacted him because my homemade computer was unresponsive after I attempted to install RAM and an external hard drive. During the repair, he not only fixed that problem, but he improved some hardware organization, as well as software. Basically going above and beyond. He even followed up to make sure things were running smooth. He cares. Don't hesitate to seek his services.
Alex was great and was ready to tackle a complicated HMDI cable repair job for me. When he arrived he pointed out that I had Cat5 cables wired near each end of the HMDI cable an he could convert them using an HDMI Balun to do the same thing and it would be a lot easier and more cost effective. It ended up being less than half of the price of the HDMI cable repair! I really appreciated his honesty and would recommend him for that.
Our PC had viruses that created provocative images, audio commercials that could not be turn off, and opened up additional tabs at will. Those were only a few examples of what was going on. It was out of control to the point that I could no longer use the internet on this computer. I am so grateful for Daniel Bailey and DKB Tech Services. His customer service was great. He was familiar with the problems I was having and gave me an estimate cost over the phone that was very reasonable. We saved our files because he warned that he may have to wipe the hard drive but somehow he was able to fix our problems without doing that. He also uploaded free antivirus software for us. All this was done for the same initial estimate he had given over the phone. I would highly recommend DKB Tech Services to anyone experiencing computer issues. They truly did give our computer new life!
Craig diagnosed my MacBook Air free of charge and once the issues had been explained to me, he then let me know all of my options for repair. Because my computer was already several years old, I had some questions about repairing it versus replacing it with a new one. Craig helped me weigh my options, and ultimately we decided to switch my hard drive into a used MacBook Air of the same year that he had in the shop. At no point during this process did I feel as though his primary interest was to get money out of me. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a computer repair!
Chris did an outstanding job recovering data from a broken damaged hard drive. He was able to recover 8 years of precious photos and videos that I was afraid were lost forever. He was professional, punctual, and friendly. His prices were reasonable and he seemed genuinely happy to be able to provide this service. Highly recommended!
Had a very difficult data transfer from my old hard drive to a new one. Matt took time to carefully transfer data without any loss. He spent extra time explaining what was done and continually updated me on the progress. Friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. What a diamond for the fredericksburg area. Highly recommend timely tech for all your computer needs!
Dmitry was fabulous. He was able to come to my home within a few hours of sending out the Thumbtack inquiry. He was very courteous and explained everything, managing to make a complete IT neophyte like me not feel out of my depth. He connected some of my devices, ran diagnostics on my hard drive-- getting rid some 'nasties', suggested some (free) virus protection, and gave some suggestions on how to speed up my computer' processing speed. His quote was really reasonable and I would absolutely hire him again. ⭐️⭐️
Great service from Techy...came to my house, swapped out my hard drive and put in more memory...answered a few related questions. I will definitely use Techy on future computer upgrades!
I was offered free service in identifying the issue and hence suggested other alternative to recover data from external hard drive. Thank you for your time and honest feedback.
Not so long ago something went wrong inside of my external hard drive and I almost lost all my files. Following my friends' advice, I contacted ACE Data Recovery. They were able to fix the issue and extract all my data from the dead drive! Frankly, I could hardly believe it was possible, but ACE engineers did their best and deserved my appreciation. I got 100% of my data back!
GSW did a great job recovery the data off my failed hard drive. I would hire again if I ever need similar services!
I started by needing a computer power supply replaced; before that could happen, another p/s went down. For the second computer, I elected to have my user data copied from the hard drive and restored to a new computer. We were delayed due to an incorrect power supply being delivered. Once the correct p/s was in hand, every thing went fine. I now have a new computer with the user data from the old one; and an existing computer happily running with a new p/s. Just be aware that they do have day jobs, so their sense of urgency can be compromised - but not their competence - and cost.
I hired Marcus to help with a screen repair for my laptop. Marcus was a pleasure to work with! When I first posted my issue on Thumbtack, he responded quickly and said he would be able to fix the problem. He was readily available to repair my laptop at my convenience and he was a great communicator. I knew I could reach him by phone or e-mail anytime! The actual repair itself took about 15-20 minutes! It was so effortless. I’m extremely happy and satisfied with the entire process; from getting an initial estimate, to setting up the appointment, getting my laptop repaired, and how easy the payment was at the end of the process. Five stars! Marcus and his team were so nice. I would surely hire them again for any and all my computer needs! Thank you IQ Computer Services!
Halley is a professional. He was very accomodating and completed the repairs quickly. He is also honest... when he found that the failure was not the hard drive but only RAM that had gone bad, he called and exlpained that the repair would be less than he had first estimated. I plan to use him any time I need repairs to a computer. B. Jones; Heathsville Va
Lori was unable to fixed my initial computer problem but was able to assist me setting up my new computer and retrieving documents from my old hard drive and installing new software! I live 2 miles outside of DC and she is willing to travel. I really like her follow-up after the project was completed...
Upgraded my laptop with an SSD drive. Copied all old files and bootable operating system from old hard drive. Laptop is now much faster, lighter weight, lasts longer on battery and runs cooler.
Roland was great! My computer had malware, spyware and a virus! He fixed them all! As well as the other computers in the office! Very good price, professional and nice
I had two printers that needed repair, and I brought them to K&K Computers. The owner of the company was very friendly. Within the first day, I was informed that one of the printers was not worth repairing as it would cost more to repair it than to buy a new one (most people would say they already knew this, but the cost of ink made me believe repairing an old printer would be worth it). I was charged a diagnostic fee of $45 to learn this (which is explained up-front in their fee explanation). K&K then continued working on my other printer for another week, purchasing the new printhead which needed to be repaired. After two weeks of trying to fix the second printer--sitting on the phone with Epson people and trying various methods to resolve the problem, he rendered the printer not worth saving, as it would be more expensive than the printer itself. Although K&K Computers did not return a fixed printer to me, I give them 5 stars for working so hard, spending so many extra hours trying to resolve my printer's issues and only charging me that initial diagnostic fee per printer and the cost of the printhead ($120 total) when any other working person would charge by the hour. I was also very happy with the professionalism, the friendly demeanor, and the quick responses K&K had when I asked many questions throughout the process. He also offered additional help with my printer(s) in the future if I ever had any questions.
My laptop is 10 years old and started giving me error messages, was operating very slow, etc. Brought it into Daniel and was so impressed by how organized, professional and honest he was about fixing things up vs. buying a new one. He explained my options, and ended up upgrading and cleaning my hard drive in less than 2 business days for a very reasonable price. The computer is working like a brand new computer now, and he went out of his way to clean up the other programs, make sure the most updated system were installed, and fixed things that had been broken for a while. I will definitely be recommending Daniel to my friends and family for their computer needs.
Mr. Jonathan Parham has always been prompt to respond to a help call and is a very hard worker. He is very knowledgeable in all aspects of his career field and stays current. He maintained and repaired or upgraded all of our desktop computers, printers, scanners and related equipment on the network at VCU. He was always courteous and professional in his work and performed more than the minimum required work. A true self-starter, Jonathan constantly looked for ways to help us with our IT needs and improve our systems. He is well versed in all current software and IT systems. He is a loyal employee and is well-liked by his co-workers. We suffered a great loss when his job was cut during the State budget cut-backs. I have over 50 years' experience in management and I would hire him immediately if I could.
The bottom line was that they were able to recover my data. My only complaint was that I was led to believe that mine was an easy job that would likely be at the lower end of the cost estimate range. Once they got my damaged hard drive, the estimate turned out to be near the top of the estimate. Not sure whether this is their normal business practice or not.
