I met with Carlos a few weeks before deciding to hire COLORAMMA for the job. The initial email exchange via Thumbtack was very professional to our phone calls moving towards an in-home estimate. Carlos arrived on-time as we agreed on eager to hear my ideas. The consult took almost an hour as he listened to me ramble about my visions of my new home. My house is 5 levels and we walked the entire house while he quoted me various prices per room along with other work COLORAMMA does. Since I'm BIG on customer services, I wanted to investigate some of what I read prior to hiring for the job. Carlos presents very well, professional, attentive and offers suggestions for the best price, quality and timeliness of the work performed. He explained to me things that I wouldn't consider that could change the price; higher or lower, depending on the area while giving me the option to choose rather convince me that something should be done that doesn't. I felt totally comfortable after we met that he was genuinely a good businessman serious about providing excellent work and customer service. On the day of the job, I received a confirmation call the day before, along with a discount contractors code for the paint. I received a message 30 minutes prior to arrival that we were on-time. He said the job would take XX hours and was finished about 3 hours sooner than what I planned for, which gave me time to do my personal business rather "watch paint dry." He and his partner were very professional, polite and worked well together as they divided the work and pretty much finished at the same time while helping eachother wrap it up. He came to me with a salute that they were finished and I conducted an inspection and was very pleased. Everything was very nice, cleaned up and I loved the paint work and colors I chose. He even did the trim, which wasn't expected. Do your homework and give them a try. He's been in business for quite a while and I don't believe he would have lasted if the comments are factual. I have two more (large) jobs in my house that need painting and I'll definitely give Carlos and his team a call because I feel confident that I'm getting a fair price and quality work. I have pictures that I'm going to send Carlos so he can use them for his site or show his work as a reference.

After meeting with four different general contractors, Mr. Marvin Guzman with Baiza Construction, Inc showed his best attitude to take part on a serious complete home improvement we had for our 1956 home. He didn't only provided a quick estimate, But time frame to complete and over all his price. My project was based on a full 2 bathrooms remodeling, plaster walls removal/replacement, insulation, plumbing, electrical, kitchen remodeling and about 2500 square foot of hardwood floor installation. My best recommendation to future hires and families of his great quality work. My contract worth 86k were put on the best hands.

Fantastic. He arrived on time. Did great work and cleaned up afterwards. Couldnt ask for more. Normally I like to stay out of a contractors way, just let them work. But Eric is such a nice guy I hung out and chatted with him while he worked. I wish I hadn't moved away, finding someone this skilled, reliable and just generally cool is rare.

I was in need of a contractor to replace my front entry door as well as a brick porch and nearly 50 foot walkway which was in decline due to age and sagging. I wanted a family owned contracting business that would add that personal touch to customer relations, workmanship, and an attention to detail. Mullins and Sons, owned and operated by Justin and Joe Mullins, fit the bill. Justin was the coordinator for my project. I was very particular about my vision for the porch rails (Chippendale). the posts, and the brick and mortar color and design (45 degree herring bone). Justin assisted me in the design and made helpful suggestions until we reached my vision for the project. With the assistance of hardworking and highly skilled bricklayers, carpenters, and painters, my vision was created Along the way, Justin was always there to supervise, problem solve, and provide an attention to detail. At the completion of the job, everything was cleaned up and left the way it was originally found. I am very happy with my new door, front porch, and walkway...I just LOVE the way everything looks!!!!!. All of the neighbors have commented on the beautiful job that they did. I would highly recommend Justin Mullins and his company for any home improvement needs!

Working with Mr. Pulino has been great. He directed us to subcontractors for special projects and performed some plumbing work for us directly. Everything went smoothly and Mr. Pulino was very responsive.

Freeman Kitchen and Bath renovated 3 bathrooms and a basement rec room for us. John and his subcontractors were a pleasure to work with -- detail oriented; responsive to our needs, budget, and time constraints; and respectful of our property and time. Our only regret is that we don't have another job for them right now!

Our project entailed the addition of a sunroom with a cupola and copper roof that was aesthetically consistent in style and architecture with our existing 1940’s family home. To begin with, Apollo (Scott) not only corrected all the errors committed by the numerous architects we had employed to design a challenging room and yard, but he was also instrumental in identifying numerous cost saving measures from the architect’s final design. Scott was exceptional to work with. He was a constant presence at the site and was always informative as to the progression of activities and expected decision points and options in the construction process. The subcontractors used on the project were very professional, impressively competent and easy to work and communicate with. Scott was a pleasure to work with on a daily basis, and was unfailingly honest in all our interactions including cost and schedule. The project was completed on schedule with the exception of the local county inspector being on vacation for a short period of time. Nevertheless, Scott conscientiously pursued the conclusion of all work. Scott made every effort to meet our every need and requirement and went well beyond in researching options we had discovered along the process. He was always available to discuss our concerns during the entire project. It is important to note that Scott even worked with our landscaper after he finished the structure to assure that our entire vision was brought to fruition. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Apollo/Scott or using him for our projects in the future.

Arm and Hammer did a serious remodel on my family room. A complete teardown, replace floor joists, re-trued the walls and ceiling and they delivered a great job. I have found that many contractors don't get the details right. Tim's crew finished the ceiling and walls in a manner that people who have visited my house have noticed. How many times have you seen poor finish work detract from a major remodel? A sign of a serious contractor includes the trade subcontractors he brings onto the job, they were professional both their technical skills and how they went about delivering their services in my home. Tim's HVAC guy corrected a chronic problem with cold spots in the room. The electrical guy was so very professional as well. I highly recommend Arm and Hammer, great quality and good people.

Lee was great. He came in under what any other contractor bid for the job. And did fantastic work. He was Hands-On with the entire project and didn't leave it to subcontractors to do which I really appreciate. Lee install a family room a full bathroom and a full bedroom in my basement. He went from start to finish in a timely manner. He communicated very well and was able to change things what I change my mind on some things during the project. I would highly recommend him and we'll use him again.

Amy was great to work with and helped us to navigate a lot of decor decisions as we redecorated the first floor of our home in Arlington, VA. She provided us advice on how to best redo the living and dining rooms, as well as the kitchen -- which included new countertops and a very unique backsplash. She helped us troubleshoot situations that arose with delivery issues and streamlined communication between us and the subcontractors working on all of the projects in our home. In terms of timeline, we initially met with Amy in April, and the job was 95% complete by the end of August, with some furniture deliveries still pending. She did a great job pushing us out of our comfort zone on colors, textures, and decor, and we are extremely pleased with the result. We also appreciated her willingness to meet with us on weekends or evenings since our working schedules do not offer much flexibilty for weekday discussions. She was also able to combine a mix of high-end pieces and low-cost accents in such a way that blended a lot of style into a unique space. Two things that could improve next time would be to get more proctive, regular communciations on projects underway and establishing more concrete budgetary limits in the beginning of the discussions rather than once the project was underway. Having said that, we would certainly use Amy again and feel like our money was well-spent. We love our new first floor and have received many compliments on it as well.
