Ryan really knew what he was doing and set a good baseline for proper dog behavior. Our dog is very large, bit luckily he has a large dog himself and knew what he was doing. We really appreciated his visit!
JoJo was very nice to deal with. She instantly saw my dogs problem areas and gave great tips on how to work with him. It’s been two days since she met with my dog and while I’m still working with him I can already see improvements! Looking forward to seeing him improve and pass the leash aggressive phase that was killing me!
Working with Kimberly was the best decision and investment I could have made for my dog and for me! When we first reached out to Kimberly, we were distraught about our dog's behavior and feeling very unsure of how to fix it. But Kimberly first made us feel confident and secure about our decision to seek help and then armed us with the knowledge we needed to improve our behavior and, in turn, help our dog. Kimberly helped us to reflect on ourselves -- our values, habits, and behaviors -- and set personal goals in other areas of life. I didn't know just how helpful her approach would be, but in time, I saw a huge change not only in my dog but in myself. By encouraging us to be better version of ourselves while also understanding more fully our dog's needs, Kimberly allowed us to be leaders and advocates for our dog in all situations. Kimberly truly understands dogs and their humans, and her life coaching experience turned out to a vital part of the training process. In the short time that we worked with Kimberly, we received invaluable guidance, information, and feedback. She was always honest and candid with us about the situation and how to improve. Since working with Kimberly, family and friends have commented on how different both we and our dog are -- how calm and confident we've all become. Personally, I have grown in many ways and learned a lot about myself since working with Kimberly. All of that is due to the investment we made and to Kimberly's steady guidance along the way. Thank you, Kimberly! I know that we are now equipped with the tools we need to overcome any challenge, thanks to your support!
I used Canine Dominion to help me with my aggressive dog. My dog would go after other animals and sometimes people. Jauvarie the owner took a special interest in my case and came out to help. When the lessons was over my dog was a completely different dog. Jauvarie's knowledge and skills are amazing. I would definitely reomment him to my friends.
I purchased the six week training package with Vicky. On the initial meet and greet I could already see that she had a good rapport with my dog. After the initial meeting we set up a regular date/time and Vicky was always vigilant on sending a reminder text the day before to confirm our appointment and she always arrive on time every time. Vicky does an excellent job in guiding you to train your animal, she provides both positive feedback on the things that you and your animal are doing right and what needs to be corrected. She was able to successfully correct the main issue that I had with my dog which was pulling on the leash.
We had to go out of town and were stressing over leaving our babies. We have 2 dogs 3 cats and a water dragon. Nikki went above and beyond of what we asked her to do for a babies, we were very impressed with her professionalism. She walked our dogs daily, fed them bathed them and trimmed their nails. Our 3 kitties got a lot of love nails trimmed and their boxes cleaned. The water dragon got fed and let out to roam every day, plus his cage cleaned. I would highly recommend Nikki to everyone I know. If you are looking for a professional, reliable, caring Animal lover, Nikki is your GAL.. Your pets needs will always come first!!
Jody came by to coach us through some issues we've been having with our puppy: nipping, barking, jumping, and leash pulling. Jody spent 1.5 hours teaching us techniques to work with our puppy, and managing our expectations so that we know what's normal puppy behavior. We're already seeing great results! Jody was very patient, knowledgeable, and helpful as we work to train our puppy to be the best dog she can be! All of her techniques are positive, and reinforced with treats. No awful choke collars, shock callers, or leash jerking necessary.
Elisa is a wonderful and kind person. She is an animal lover and I trust her with all 3 of my dogs. They love her and her Lab, Jack! Elisa is great at what she does...One of the best in the business.
I started with Academy when our rescue 14 month GSD was a year old and am very pleased with the results. I'm not sure who is being trained though. If you have the time and opportunity definitely take the group class over a period of time. In a subtle way Haywood shows you insights into your dogs behavior while you work with the dog. There are no "trade secrets" in his classes. He explains in a friendly manner the whats, whys, and how to train and its dependent on the particular dog. Some dogs connect differently. You will eventually have a moment when you're home working with your dog when you realize that you're actually communicating with your dog. Reading the dog and answering back. Its amazing. I firmly believe that this is the place if you seriously want to understand your dog and have a well trained dog. There are many options available here for training. You really can't go wrong. Haywood has over 30 years in the business. I'm getting good results with him.
Ms Maxine and Her Husband are exemplary trainers. They are very flexible, and very effective. Their instructions are clear. I saw a great turnaround in my dog's behavior immediately after the training session, and continued to improve from then on. This is a great program.
When I met Kevin my expectations were low for my dog. He seemed to be pretty much out of control and I was told by several other trainers that his breed could not be trained. When Kevin came in the first day he got my dog to sit and actually follow a command. He accomplished more in one day then other trainers did in months. As the time went on I saw my dog's Behavior change drastically. He became an overall better dog and seemed much happier. Also as he was training Kevin trained me as well. I realize that I was doing a lot wrong and that was the cause of a lot of his behaviors. I realized in order for my dog to be better I had to be a better owner. All of this I learned from Kevin. I thought I was a dog whisperer until he showed me the right way to do it. Highly recommend Kevin because he doesn't have a method where one fits all. He takes the time out to learn your dog and customize the training. He also educates himself all things animals. You can contact him and get advice on just about anything for your pet. And if he doesn't know at that moment he will find out for you. It's hard to find people who Do It For the Love of Animals. Kevin is one that clearly has a connection with animals that allows you to be comfortable with him and the care of your dog. Having Kevin train your pet would be the best thing you can do for your family.
This was our first experience with a professional dog trainer. Sharon was very knowledgeable and professional in explaining to us the different types of dog behaviors while explaining at the same time the solutions to correcting bad behavior. Sharon took the time to ensure that we understood the lessons and was more than happy to continue each action until we were comfortable. We are glad that Sharon is available to answer any questions we have. Having a great first time experience with Bark Busters, we would recommend their help to others.
I reached out to Anthony to help me potty train my dog and the end result was not just a dog that goes to the bathroom outside rather then in her crate or on my floor, but I ended up with a dog that listened better and because the family was so pleased with her new behaviors our interactions with her changed and she is so much happier. Anthony was extremely thorough and observant. After 10 minutes with Paris-Rose he knew exactly what regimen she would need to meet the expectations of the house. Anthony got all family members involved, even my grumpy husband who is not so much a animal lover. His advice and recommendations are on point, my dog loved every toy and game he recommended. I hired Anthony for one job, to teach my dog to potty outside. I walked a way with a lot of knowledge of what my dog needs and a family pet we can all be proud of and that is so easy to love! Anthony is a super professional, flexible, convenient, affordable and knowledgeable dog trainer!
My little guy (3 yea old Maltese) has been staying with Jonise for the past 2 years now when I'm on travel. Jonise goes far and beyond. I always know that he's in safe hands when he stays with her. She always gives me a review while she has him, as well as a full review in email that states the activities they've done, his behavior, if she' noticed anything out of the ordinary, etc. Skylar loves Jonise as if she's a part of the family, and so do we! Skylar will see you in October, per my next travels!
I've known about Journey for about 4 years now, and my experience with Journey has always been excellent. Laron (the founder of Journey) is a very determined, kind hearted young gentlemen who knows how to treat animals right, and I'm glad to have met someone who is as passionate as he. From grooming to feeding, I found Journey to be well tailored to the needs of my animals and the customizable time slots make vacations away from my pets a breeze. I was very glad I found Journey, and I would most certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a easy way to manage their pets, either due to vacation or a hectic lifestyle, or even if you're looking to give your pets a little treat! Journey (from my experience) has been completely reliable, an excellent service which I've come to rely on.
Kristy is amazing! She will come out and meet you and your pooch and spend time getting to know you and your needs. I dropped my boy (Jax - 90 lb. 9 months German Shephard) Saturday morning and he stayed with her for 3 weeks. A huge bonus is that she has other dogs, kitties, bunnies, and chickens - so Jax was exposed to and learned how to behave and be patient with them. We had a mid-training visit (she will do this with you during, OR after training) and spent two hours going over what he had learned. Even after only a week or so he had picked up many skills. It was me that needed to learn now:). Once home Jax immediately investigated the entire house and literally did some of his initial behaviors (like he was trying to make up for lost time and fit them all in within a few minutes). It was pretty funny actually. He knows the commands he was taught - there is no doubt. The more time I spend with him the more he is learning that he needs to follow those with me, as well, and not just Kristy:) He does test me, and in all honesty, I find myself breaking into laughter with him (not good for reinforcing his learning by the way). But, when I recompose myself and calmly and firmly bring him back to a place of obedience, he does "fall in line". He may not like it (the subtle whining is one indicator), but he does it. Part of the success once you have your pooch home is recognizing when you simply do not have their trainable attention. When Jax's energy and hormones are driving his puppy behavior I've found that isn't the time for me to "win" (frankly, because I don't, and reinforcing him winning is not good). I chose Kristy after connecting with her about in-home visits while I'm at work. That's how I learned of her training business. We met and honestly I just liked her. Jax liked her too - and that was important. My favorite part was the 3-week break and being able to clean my house without Jax thinking everything I was doing was for his enjoyment. Aside from that, it's clearly the effectiveness of Kristy's work. She also stays in touch with you to let you know how things are progressing. The biggest takeaway is learning how to properly use a pinch and/or e-collar, and that I need to be committed to reinforcing all the learned commands. What's truly great about Jax now is that I can, with confidence, take him hiking, out for walks, around other dogs (still a bit of a struggle - but honestly - that's a tough one for any pup!), public places, etc. and I know I have a different kind of control (he'll sit and remain sitting until I say otherwise).
