I worked with Richard Bailey on a promotional video. Guy's an unending source of energy; kept preproduction on schedule when I got sick and took on the entire task of editing himself. Made several of the client reps literally cry with the deft storytelling he weaved from interviews. Good at handling the hustle/bustle/frustration of production and not afraid to push back on ideas for the sake of the big picture. Recommend!

Wow! This writer is phenomenal. I absolutely love the speech that Donna wrote for my daughter. Donna was an absolute delight to communicate with on this project. She was very professional and quite prompt. Her writing is fun and exciting for my daughter. Her rate was very reasonable, especially for the very high quality of her work. I will most definitely be hiring Donna again for my future projects. I highly recommend Donna Shannon.

I hired Gretchen to help me with a personal branding project which included taking my photo and generating copy about my capabilities. She is both an excellent writer and a good photographer with strong organizational skills, high artistic talent and knowledge of what works. I would use her again.

S. Hasselbacher is always my first choice for an editor for grant proposals, conference papers, and other material as part of graduate school in anthropology. She always works quickly and efficiently to offer helpful comments. She is always on time and in fact almost always early! Her valuable comments point out where grammar, word choice, organization, and the overall argument can be improved yet she never makes me feel defensive. People have often been impressed with my grant proposals and conference papers, at times noticing with approval changes she recommended with regards to word choice and organization. She is also helpful with grammatical minutiae and anthropology style guides. I cannot recommend her enough!

Lisa Bacon edited a book for me in 2014. We had an excellent and congenial working relationship as she was efficient, timely, and extremely helpful with suggestions and corrections. We worked together almost entirely via e-mail and a few phone calls, a system that was convenient, and time-saving for us both. I highly recommend her editing and proofing abilities and would call on her services again in the future without hesitation.

As a professional editor, I specialize in turning complex science into clear language. My services assist biomedical authors, publishers, and organizations from proposal to publication, and train staff on best practices to effectively communicate their science. For the past 5 years, my focus has been on cultivating clarity that allows ideas to shine. I offer three main services: scientific manuscript editing, English-language editing, and medical writing. I also offer tutoring to college-bound students on a limited basis. I am proud of the work I've done with past clients and humbled by their gratitude: "All of the corrections and suggestions make perfect sense to me and will improve my writing a ton! SO helpful. Thank you, thank you. :)" -- Ann Pierce, business professional, blogger "Wow. You are good. I never dreamed this manuscript could get this far." -- S.D. Biomedical Researcher at Tufts University "If you're looking for a tutor with knowledge and patience, look no further than Kristin for the job. My writing skills have improved ten fold since I began working with her." -- K.A.., student at UVA "I had spent hours staring at our website text before Kristin's help. She brought a fresh set of eyes to the work, saw potential I had overlooked, and transformed our website. I have renewed appreciation for the clarity an editor can bring to a project, since working with her." -- Mary R., artist and small business owner "It's hard to believe now, but when I first met Kristin, I feared essay writing like the plague. While working with her, I learned how to identify my writing weaknesses and improve them. With every roadblock I encountered, she outlined a solution in a simple, memorable way. Her help was invaluable to my college success." -- S.Y., student at Marywood University "Kristin is an AMAZING find! Some of the best edits I've ever seen.
