Introduction: We are both ordained ministers and are authorized by the state of Virginia to perform wedding ceremonies. Each of us are Christian, but are non-denominational. We are very social, personable, and we enjoy life. It is important to us that your day is all about you and what you want. We will be there for you before, during, and after the ceremony. We do request, if possible, a "meet & greet" to get to know each other a bit and discuss your vision of one of the most important days in your adult life. We will perform last minute elopements for just for the two of you, or planned weddings with up to 100 guests, and everything in between, we are comfortable with any venue. We truly enjoy the love, the happiness, and all of the "positive" energy that surrounds us as we officiate the celebration of joining two hearts and two lives, into one union to last a lifetime!

Robin and Harlie were so great! The vows that Robin wrote for us were just perfect. She transcribed what we wanted to say from the heart but just couldn’t quite get it out in our own words. We liked that Harlie and Robin wanted to meet with us prior to our wedding so we could get to know one another. Getting to know your officiants is something I never thought about but going forward will always suggest to anyone getting married. It created a bond that made the day that much more special. Our day was full of love and happiness and we could not be more thankful for Robin and Harlie! They arrived with plenty of time prior to the ceremony, they kept the vibes up beat and made two people who were a little nervous and anxious (weddings as you know can be a wee bit stressful) feel cool, calm and collected. We would DEFINITELY recommend Bird on a Bike! <3

Our experience with Robin and Harlie was amazing! Extremely helpful, kind, easy to work with and down to earth! I’m so glad my now husband and I decided for them to officiate our wedding. They were more than willing to be there for our “Covid/Quarantine” wedding, and will definitely be there for us again in our postponed real wedding in September. Nothing but great things to say about this wonderful duo!

Harlie and Robin were absolutely amazing! From choosing our vows, to making our wedding day as beautiful as we dreamed of, they were there to lead us in the right direction. We met with them a month before the wedding to go over the vows, and from that moment we knew we were in good hands. On the day of our wedding, they arrived on time and the ceremony was beautiful. I couldn't ask for a better officiant! After the ceremony, Harlie and Robin are still in touch to answer any questions I have. Robin was excellent! From the first meeting until our actual wedding she made us feel very comfortable. She is still guiding us through the paperwork aspect of getting my wifes name change to go as smooth as possible. We could sense the sincerity in her voice as she officiated over our wedding. When youre saying your vows, it is so important to have someone guiding you in a nurturing way to make sure that one moment, embraces the love you have for each other. And I can honestly say that Robin did that perfectly. Our wedding was a very stressful day and she was without a doubt one of the shining moments on our day. I hope this helps someone make the right choice in having her help you make that day as memorable as possible.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to talk with the bride and/or groom, over the phone, to get an idea of what type of ceremony they envision so I can create a draft ceremony to discuss at the meet & greet.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
We attended a friends wedding, when the officiant arrived, the bride and groom had no idea who this person was, and then when the officiant performed the ceremony, it was a "cookie cutter" ceremony. We decided at that time we wanted to become ordained and begin officiating weddings. We do not feel a couple should have a stranger officiate over one of the most important decisions of their adult life, and the ceremony should be unique to what they want.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All ages and all beliefs. We are not committed to only traditional or Christian weddings.
