John and his crew are the exact example of why I prefer to use local small businesses. My 20 year old HVAC system went out 2 days before Memorial day. He provided me with a quote which, however the work had to be delayed as I had to go out of town for a family emergency. When I was on the way home, I contacted John to schedule the HVAC system installation thinking that it would be later in the week. He arranged it so that I was able to get the HVAC system installation the following day since I was without AC. The day of the install John and his crew were on time as promised and removed the old HVAC system and installed the new one. It took 6 hours from start to finish. There were no corners cut and the installation was clean and professional. I have already recommended John to other friends because of his professionalism, quality of work, and pricing. If you are looking for HVAC work to be done, do not hesitate to call John.

We hired Atlantic coast contractors to replace our hvac system along with many other issues involved and they were wonderful to work with. I was very overwhelmed with everything we had going on and John was the only contractor to make the effort to explain everything that needed to be done in a way so that we could understand why they needed to be done and how to fix the problems. John and his team are extremely knowledgeable and were able to make a complicated job flow seamlessly. Not only do they do great work and use great products, but he really wants you to get the most for your money. I used Thumbtack to find an HVAC company to help diagnose my problem with a 16 year old heat pump which quit cooling abruptly, with a boom. I decided on David Sloan Heating and Air, and couldn’t be happier. He responded in a matter of hours and explained in detail the problem. Our 16 year old compressor died! Rather than invest in a replacement, we decided to replace the entire system. I have a few years’ experience as an HVAC mechanic in the sixties and seventies, so I understood all he was saying. We decided to do a complete install of a new Rheem heat pump and air handler. The install was fast and very neat, and his pricing was extraordinary! We want to tell you how much I like our new heat pump and the auto changeover thermostat. During the days of cyclic temperatures my house will always be comfortable. I will not have to fool with the thermostat at all. For the past 16 years during the spring and fall seasons I always had to switch the thermostat back and forth between heat and AC. Now, no matter what the temp is outside, the house will always be comfortable The air handler is so awesome. I love the variable fan speed control and it is so quiet. It really stabilizes the temperature in the house. When you described how the variable speed control worked and how it stabilized the ambient temperature, it made sense to me and is why we decided to go with your recommendation. We’re so glad we followed your advice on buying this model. The temperature stabilization throughout the house is amazing. The same temperature from room to room. David Sloan is a true professional, and a man of his word. Everything he explained to us was correct. His knowledge of HVAC is unsurpassed! He is also a very nice and extremely polite person. His company is first rate. The quality of the installation was of paramount importance in ensuring the proper efficiency and durability of the unit purchased. Thank you David Sloan! From now on, David Sloan Heating and Air will be our ONLY HVAC choice! Thank you David Sloan, and thank you Thumbtack!
