- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Pets, cooking and home care have been part of my life my whole life. I love making home a beautiful place, and am skilled at home decorating using what is at hand as well as cleaning. I also like the health benefits of the physical work rather than sitting at a desk all day.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Meal preparation, pet sitting, house sitting, house cleaning, both deep cleaning and maintenance cleaning. Party planning, and small event catering. Research products and pricing for home projects. Arranging for repair services, and waiting on the repairman.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently, I had a client who had discovered a leak under their kitchen sink. She could not take off work to wait on the repairman, so I came to her home to wait on the repair. The faucet had broken and could not be repaired. I communicated with the client, did the research to find her a faucet she liked in her price range, made the arrangements for the repairman to come out and install, came back to wait for the installation, and while waiting, gave her home a routine cleaning, walked her dog and fed her turtle. She was so relieved not to have to take off work, and for everything to be working perfectly when she got home, she gave me a big happy hug! That made my day happy, too!
