Started guitar lessons a couple of months ago and couldn't be happier. I was self taught and played by ear. Didn't feel I had time for lessons. But, I was missing a lot of the fundamentals. The lessons have started to fill in the gaps and I'm learning a lot faster than before. I wish I started these lessons a couple of years ago. And way too easy taking these lessons at my place. Highly recommended!
I always wanted to learn to play guitar, and tried several times to teach myself without success. The idea of taking guitar lessons was super intimidating to me, but I decided to give it a shot, and I'm so glad I did. Ryan is an amazing instructor. His passion for teaching is obvious, and I feel like I learned so much from him in a short amount of time. He addresses all the things any new player faces such as a lack of confidence and bad habits. Right away I felt comfortable and encouraged, and I looked forward to lessons every week. The lessons motivated me to want to practice and work through everything I was learning, and they were always fun. Ryan has a great sense of humor and a knack for using pizza metaphors to explain music theory :) I can't say enough great things about my experience, and I encourage anyone considering lessons with Ryan to definitely go for it. You won't be disappointed.
Jonny is a talented guitar player and a great teacher. His lessons have encouraged me to continue learning how to play bass guitar.
I've been playing guitar for about 18 years, recreationally. I knew how to play songs and even knew some scales. But I had no idea how my guitar worked or why I was doing the things I had learned. Working with Michael has been very eye-opening. I am learning the "why" and the "how" of the music I play. Michael starts with small building blocks and teaches, step-by-step, how you put those pieces together to make music. This process has really made me enjoy picking up my guitar again. The lessons are fun and interesting. Michael doesn't pressure you and is happy to go as fast or as slowly as you want. And as my knowledge of music increases, I find myself sounding better and better when I goof around and improvise on my own. I would recommend working with Michael if you are like me and have "self-taught" yourself on the guitar and would like to become a better musician.
My 11-year-old son has taken 2 1/2 years of guitar lessons with Bob, and he's still as excited as when he started, if not more so. Bob balances what my son would like to learn with what he needs to learn--blending fun and cool with theory and practice in a way that challenges but doesn't overwhelm. Plus he's a delightful person. We've had an excellent experience with Bob and highly recommend him.
David teaches me classical guitar. He is kind, encouraging, and patient. He gently instructs me on the importance of finger positioning and rhythm. David is well-grounded in musical theory and can discuss the history of musicology. Each lesson has been a positive and enlightening experience. Thanks to my teacher, I have rediscovered my love of classical guitar!
Outstanding guitar instructor! Jacob is very patient and easy to get along with. He's a fantastic musician and sincerely works to make sure that I stay interested and continue to get better. I would highly recommend him as a guitar, bass or drum teacher to anyone looking for music lessons!
I am pleasantly surprised that I found such a good teacher, Ken Jacobsen, who even lives close to me. I have complete confidence in his ability to take my classical guitar training to the next level.
Love this school! It's been great experience for both of my kids. We've been taking piano and guitar lessons for last 4 years
He's real cool and knows how to teach
Sami has musical knowledge well beyond his years in singing, guitar, drums, and much more. Working with him for 2+ years has made him one of my closets friends.
I took bass lessons from Mr. Fairchild for about one year and in that time I improved immensely. Sean helped me with not only technical improvements, but also with groove concepts and overall musicianship. Very professional and always well prepared. Highly recommended!
When bob taught me about triads it helped me learn about music theory and get my fingers used to playing in a four finger position.
I have taken lessons from Bob Crow for the past five years, and I have nothing but great things to say about Bob, his teaching style, and all the great songs that I have learned. When I first started taking lessons, I was a competent flat picker (at best), but I could not finger pick, count times or take on challenging songs. Thanks to Bob's patient teaching style, I now regularly take onand masteradvanced-level songs.
I have been a working musician for many years. I have played from coast to coast, in venues as small as house parties and as big as the House of Blues. Music is a beautiful way to connect and impact those who are around us!
I offer private guitar lessons for all ages. Beginners can get started with a solid foundation while playing what they like. This is great for the required motivation. Do you find yourself in a rut? I can definitely help with that and learn to break through that barrier that is holding you back. I have over 20 years of experience with the skills that are necessary to tailor the lessons that will get you where you want in a fun and efficient manner.
I let the students lead the lesson, I'll teach them the songs they want to learn and what you can take away from the song to make you a better musician.
I teach beginning to intermediate guitar lessons in the comfort of your home. It can be for 30 min., 45 min. or a full 60 min for afternoons and weekends only. Bring your own guitar or use the house guitar.
I teach fingerstyle guitar, classical guitar, folk, and rock. I also specialize in the Hal Leonard Method, Fredrick Noad Method, and Christopher Parkening Method. My lessons are tailored to each individual student, to their interests and needs. I generally use the Hal Leonard Guitar method but I will use any method best suited for the goals you want to reach. Whatever method we use will be supplemented with other songs and exercises. My lessons tend to be laid back and fun but also challenging. I expect students to do their best and make an effort. The lessons are taught in my studio with an amp, guitar, music stand, books, and seating, or in the students home. Students are required to have their own instrument. I do have instruments available to rent.
I teach acoustic and electric guitar from beginner to advanced levels to players of a variety of styles. I specialize in blues, rock, and metal but am well versed in other genres and styles. I like to incorporate music theory in my lessons and am willing to go at your pace. Music is a fun and enriching hobby, and I do my best to ensure that my students feel comfortable and have fun during their lessons!
I aim to teach students how to be a relevant musician. My lessons are focused on the progress of music itself.
