I enthusiastically recommend Nola and her team. I hosted a unique event at my home and my main goal was to make the guests feel appreciated and special. Thanks to Nola, every guest loved the delicious food--young and old, and different cultural backgrounds. There was a theme to the menu and each had its unique flavor, texture and color; she even created a recipe for a new dish. Nola brought floral décor to compliment mine. Nola consulted on layout and best flow to the event order. Nola was a gracious hostess and made everyone feel taken care of. They cleaned the kitchen, guests' service ware and put the leftovers on my own dishes so I had nothing left to do. I hope to have the opportunity to have them cater again soon.

Thanks to Emme, we had a fabulous engagement party at Ward Johnson Winery in Seattle for 40 guests. The food was freshly prepared on location. Emme personally staged the hors d'oeuvres during the party. They looked perfect, tasted even better and the winery smelled wonderful from Emme's cooking. She even allowed me to add a dessert only 3 days prior to the party. All the guests loved the food! Chef Emme is a must have for any gathering!!!!! Thanks again Emme!

We were planing a graduation dinner event last minute. When I posted to hire a private chef through Thumbtack, a few chefs approached me. After talking with each chef, I finally chose BG private chef. He is easy to communicate with and met our requests. During the dinner, he was very approachable but still professional. The price was reasonable too. We enjoyed his cooking and service.

I have hired Joy Max Catering for my wedding catering for 130 people. Our wedding was on budget and we had only 4 months to plan it. Joy Max Catering has worked with us based on our budget and we were able to pick a menu we wanted. We were able to add and subtract thins we wanted or didn't choose to have. When I first tried my herb roasted chicken, I was wondering how come I could never make a chicken like that. It was tender, juicy and lots of flavor. The food had flavor and it was very homemade & thats what we were looking for. Everyone who I asked about my food, they said it was excellent! I am glad I have met the owner Joy, she is a great person to work with and talk about food. She is very professional, sweet and very very hard working. I would recommend Joy Max for an outstanding ability to work with people, base their menu, arrange payments and also cook a deliciously tasty food. Thank you Joy Max for your services.

Chef David Boyd- Private Chef-Down to Earth Cuisine "Delicious, organic, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated dishes"- On August 7th I hired Private Chef David Boyd to prepare an Italian Dinner for 10 in my home. (I had offered the "Italian Dinner for 8" as an auction item not knowing at the time who I would hire) He (and his lovely wife, also hired to assist him) arrived at 1pm to begin cooking for the 5:30pm event. Earlier in the week, we met to decide on the menu, appropriate tableware and wine/beverage pairings for the 5 course menu. We went with a Northern Italian theme featuring peaches because they were in season and seafood. I handled the purchase of the wine and cocktail ingredients but paid half of the per person food cost up front so that he could do all the grocery shopping which he did using local fish/meat stores and organically grown fruit and veggies from our area farmers market. He also arrived with all of his own knives and most utensils needed though he did use my mixing bowls and cookware. The entire meal was then prepared in our kitchen. Because he makes everything from scratch like croutons, mayonnaise, sugared garnish for the dessert etc. it is very time consuming, labor intensive and requires full use of your kitchen. He and his wife worked hard and fast for the 4.5 hours before guests arrived. They were conscientious and they cleaned and emptied the garbage etc. as they went. The result was delicious, organic, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated dishes that my husband and I were proud to serve to our guests. I would suggest discussing the estimated prep time for individual menu items as well as the per person cost ahead of time. Chef David seems capable of working within any reasonable budget, but he does require a lot of prep time if you choose complex menu items so that factors into his hourly rate. I think the dinner cost me more than what guests paid at the auction but that's totally my fault for not being more clear about my budget and for suggesting such complex ideas like an appetizer of scallops served in some sea shells I had. All in all, it was a very impressive, well paced, 5 course meal, and my guests enjoyed hearing Chef David explain the details of each delicious course as it was served. It was so nice to be able to just relax and enjoy my guests rather than stress about the food and clean-up. A really fun experience! I recommend hiring Chef David Boyd of Down to Earth Cuisine for your next dinner party. - Suzy H.

Chef Anessa has been wonderful for our family! We both work full time, so having fresh, home cooked meals ready for us when we get home has been amazing. She comes once a week and always prepares a nice selection of entrees that are perfect for dinner and then I use any leftovers for lunches during the week, too. She partners with us to figure out the menu each week. I love that she brings us recommendations but also is willing to try some recipe suggestions I have. She asks for feedback and is very responsive to adjusting to your preferences. Our three kids have loved trying her dishes and we love that it's getting them to be more adventurous eaters. Chef Bert responded to my Thumbtack request with a thorough presentation of what his company has to offer, assuring me that they have worked our venue many times. I am the Mother of the Bride and was confident that Chef Bert was a good candidate to cater my daughters wedding. My daughter and her fiance met with Chef Bert and were impressed with his experience and personality. As part of the decision process, Chef Bert offers an amazing, dinner for 6 in your own home, to try the food of your choice, prior to the wedding. Bert and his assistant Ron, arrived an hour and a half before dinner, dressed in tuxedos and ready to cook. The table was stunning. From the appetizers to the salad to the main course, the food was absolutely one of the most delicious meals I've ever eaten. Not only is he a talented Chef, Bert is a kind and funny man. We are all looking forward to working with him and his staff (not to mention, eating his food again!)at my daughter's wedding in July. I will write an update after the wedding and let you know how it went.

Anne-marie's food is dee-lish! I don't eat meat but she totally gets it and has no prob working with my prefs. She really knows her stuff in the kitchen and it shows in her cooking. She's always handles everything like a pro which is nice peace of mind as well.

Two of the top chefs in King county. I highly recommend this catering. Lawrence is a well known chef here in King county. I would love to have him cook for me anytime. You must try the smoked meats they are to die for.

Erika is amazing! She helped us with an 11 year old birthday cooking party. The menu was Japanese and all vegetarian. She is meticulous detailed, thorough. Everything detail was planned from arrival time, waivers, menu preferences, kitchen setup, requirements and kids. She was so patient , sweet and helpful throughout the 2.5hrs with the girls! I would hire her again and highly recommend to anyone hostinf a kids cooking party!

All my dishes are gluten free and include Paleo, vegetarian and vegan. I don't cook using refined sugar, soy or sesame. I concentrate on whole, natural, local and fresh ingredients. I prefer cooking for families or small groups (up to 30). I'm a creative chef, which means that I'm always coming up with new recipes and investigating alternatives to the traditional; although, I'm quite happy with traditional fare. I don't use many high-carb ingredients either. I use a lot of quinoa, brown rice and whole, gluten-free grains and flours. I make my own flour blends, opting for less highly processed ingredients.
